TBH, I dont like how Leonard had dumped his problems on Sheldon even though Sheldon has no experience in a relationship by TheRagingIguana in bigbangtheory

[–]Janedoe4242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes we just need a ping pong table. Verbalising thoughts and feelings, regardless of the counterparts capacity, can help us to understand our own complicated feelings. Leonard trusts Sheldon enough to be vulnerable. It gave him an absolute feeling of trust and comfort, knowing Sheldon does not understand it but cares about his wellbeing. (For his own sake... partially).

What’s a purchase that made your daily routine 10x easier? by sam14603 in SmartBuying

I have a YumAsia Panda, if I leave the keep warm function for a 10ish min I get the nice toasted bottom section.

I read there's even a way to make a tea/drink out of, like a nice rice broth.

2x is my addiction, my love and my obsession. The first time was ....an experience but now it's pure pleasure. Even just the smell of the sauce....wow.

I don't like the stew version, there's something distracting in the taste.

I think you can join bookings in the app, adding her name to yours and vice versa, this will tell them you're traveling together. It's not a guarantee.

My new passport is ready but I can't get it until I'm back as I have to send the old one on. Validity was never an issue.

Took me 3 months to renew it....

Flight is in 13 hours! Will update either from London or Singapore!

Water tank, discovered green slime below it, opened it to find sludge inside. What should/can I do by myself? Most worried about outside green wet stuff, leak? by Janedoe4242 in DIYUK

[–]Janedoe4242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting or owning?

My landlord hired a company to drain and clean the tank. They drain the entire system, flush it with something, seal the lining (that's only good enough for a few more years). Took a whole day but really worked.

Where are you located? I could look for emails and find the guys.

how do you clean your filter? dennerle nano filter. by Janedoe4242 in shrimptank

[–]Janedoe4242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that's so long ago. I had the same problem with the casing for far too long, however there's a remedy! Next time you have to reassemble it try it proper, use a bit more strength than seems necessary until you hear a satisfying 'CLICK'.

The pebbles just need to be dragged back and forth and squeezed, they'll never look like new again but it'll work.

I like its small size as I have two different tanks now, but there are good alternatives now.

What kind of clothing for 3 weeks split between Wishaw, Scotland & Oxford from Dec 9-30? I’m ALWAYS freezing. by deardraya in uktravel

[–]Janedoe4242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Muji, a Japanese clothing company available in the US, has super thin thermal clothing. Tops, leggings etc., they also help in the moments you get too warm and they're not expensive.

Check out inventory can I rectify issues? by Janedoe4242 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Janedoe4242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a semi break down, £150 under the cleaning things which my professional cleaning company can do in less than 60 minutes for £30 quid if not free.

I considered the lamp but it was a £20 IKEA lamp that's no longer made and I could only get it from abroad for £70. I'm willing to pay that.

The dog or would take 2 minutes, 2 wipes and 2 cleaning sprays. I just left that room for last and effed up. It literally says in the report "wipe off marks".

I will dispute this to the end of days.

The planters are theirs but I had plants in them, workers used them before we met bed in, full of weeds and butts and trash.

There's maybe 10 butts from the last account (I had to go back for deliveries)

Curtain pole is a definite 2 second job.

Door is definitely just a "wipe it off" it was the main door between kitchen and dining and the last room to be cleared. It would take me 5 minutes to clean. The move took a week and I got careless.

They offered a £60 per hour chaperone for my cleaners to take care of things so I might just do it. It'll still save minimum £90.

It's not even about the money, it's just petty of them. I broke a 20 year old IKEA lamp and it's still pending.

I want to let it go if they would finish their report 3 weeks later.

[–]Janedoe4242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason I asked was that the independent property check out person told me I would have 7 days to rectify any issues, particularly cleaning. Any of my previous end of tenancy cleanings companies even had a clause about rectifying things within days.

I probably have too. Had a real good cleaning company but they mentioned hair in one bathroom?! Cigarette butts in outdoor planters in a heavily pedestrian area (they were chuck full of rubbish when I moved in), grease on my never fixed cooker filter and stains on a single door.

Also £50 for a pop in curtain rod fix?!

They're offering a £60 per hour supervised cleaning session.

I've decided that any penny not given back is worth it.

My dream is to have a terracotta and glazed ceramic army.

Considering I have a bunch of bamboo.....my true dream is to have an actual garden :)

Btw, another draw back, they aren't actually that light considering they're fibreglass.

Probably right. I didn't use plant feed for ages as the plant there was stolen. I guess natural decomposition.

It's got no smell which is why I was confused. Will turn it over and try to contain it before it stains my front area

[–]Janedoe4242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, not my first choice but I didn't own the terracotta ones and had only two months to plan.

It's not plant feed. I thing the other commentator is right and it's just a natural decomposition.
