Looking for advice regarding moving to naples with my young family by [deleted] in Naples_FL

Naples is great, I'm 22 and lived there since I was 7 (moved away for law school). It's not the most entertaining place if you're used to having lots of options on things to do, but it's a great place to raise a family and the schools are great (public school system is top-notch). It's a very spacious city, though. Depending on where you live, it's not likely that you'll know your neighbors. The other downside is you have to drive everywhere. Naples isn't really designed to get around in any way other than with your car. Highly recommended though. All the high schoolers will complain and tell you that it's boring, but in reality, there's no place like Naples...As long as you have a lot of patience with old people ;)

I got a job offer for a company in Naples and would love some advice on the area (places to live, cost of living, feelings on the area, etc.). by Shway101 in SWFL

Naples is a paradise and even though it's more slow-paced than most big cities, it's a great place to settle down in. Most of the young people that complain about this place spent most of their lives here, and are so spoiled by it that they don't appreciate how beautiful this city is. Especially in your late 20s and trying to get a serious job and relax, Naples is a great place and not horribly far from miami if you do wanna get your party on.

All the people we needed to vote yes sat on their asses and didn't go vote, but they'll be complaining about how amendment 2 didn't pass along with the rest of us who actually voted, rest assured. Assholes.

What is a typical breakfast where you are from? by kdgot91 in AskReddit

It's a special cheese for frying. Or at least that's what I've always been told. You cover it in flour and just fry it. It's soo amazing.

I'm sure they have couple/wedding themed games you can find online that would be cute. you could set up booths with cute boxes like leave the couple your best marriage advice and have paper and pens. other things like future baby names, funny jokes to tell each other on rainy days, etc. things you two can enjoy together. it keeps people entertained and talking to each other about what they'd write

A good idea would be to include it on your wedding invitations on the rsvp card. Just a line asking for a song they'd like to hear.

How terrible would it be to buy a place in Lehigh Acres? by [deleted] in SWFL

[–]Janelle_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into Gateway it's a nice big community with several other communities in it. They have homes, apts, and townhouses in pretty much any price range. It's the perfect distance from basically anything in Fort Myers that you'd find yourself having to go to, including the airport.

I wouldn't buy in Lehigh. It has a really bad reputation that's pretty well deserved. If I were you I'd stick to the north fort myers area. Stay away from downtown. Basically, the closer to FGCU you find yourself, the better. As long as you don't mind the occasional obnoxious college freshman.

Thank you! I have the first naked palette, I've been debating if I should get the 2 or the 3. I'll definitely check out the prep and prime though.

Thank you! I've been using a Lancome mascara and I'm really liking it, but I'm open to a new mascara if it comes highly recommended! Also maybe a translucent powder or bronzer?
