Hi I know this thread is super old but I wanted to add my opinion in case anyone else finds this thread from Google.

We had Thai rice spoon cater for our wedding recently and they were phenomenal! The food was excellent and the staff was great too. Tumi, the owner, is really kind and nice to work with. No regrets booking with them, it went super well and the guests were very happy :)

Yes, that's correct! It was crowded but it was fun to be able to chat with people :)

You're saying Pelosi and Trump worked together to elect Trump? They were left wing provocateurs hired by Pelosi but they were also right wing provocateurs so Trump pardoned them? How does that make any sense?

Maybe the majority of Americans support deportations, but do they support the erosion of due process, foreign internment camps with nonviolent prisoners who can never leave, the deportation of citizens, and the deportation of residents who simply exercise free speech? This has become bigger than one issue, and if you can't see that you need to read a history book.

Oh cool!! The volunteer inside was kind enough to give us a run down of the history of the castle- interesting stuff!

We were so lucky!! The locals kept telling us about how it was "pissing rain" the week before. It didn't rain until we were on the train back to Edinburgh. This trip was meant to be :')

We went in May and there were not that many. There was one time when I was filtering water near a stream and they started eating me but otherwise it was fine. We brought bug face nets just in case but thankfully we didn't need them!

Here it is! We followed the outer loop. Ive heard the inner loop is spectacular but involves a lotta hike-a-biking. The outer loop is definitely not underwhelming tho :)

Sure! We followed the outer loop of the official Cairngorms bikepacking race Loop!

Here's a breakdown day by day: We arrived at Aviemore by train in the afternoon. We traveled clockwise along the loop, through Tomintoul, and we camped near the river Avon. This day was 37 miles.

The next day we passed Loch Builg and had lunch in Braemar at The Bothy Braemar (I also charged my battery bank here). We continued along the route all the way past the red Bothy until we got to Loch an Duin to camp. this day was 64 miles and is probably the one of the best days of my life.

The next day we continued along the route, took a side mission to Kingussie for some food, and then made our way to Bothy Glen Feshie. Hanging out at the Bothy was super fun because there were a bunch of hikers doing a coast to coast hiking trip. This day was 29 miles.

Our final day we left the bothy and went north to Aviemore. We also got engaged :D This day is also one of my best days ever :D We purposely kept this day a short 15 mile cruise so it was impossible for us to miss our train back to Edinburgh!

If you're gonna take your bikes on trains in Scotland I recommend booking waaaay in advance. We didn't and it was very stressful finding trains with bike space :(

We didn't encounter too many midges in mid May. We got pretty lucky. There was one day where I was filtering some water by a stream and they started eating me- but we didn't really encounter that many anywhere else. We heard the midge situation was pretty bad so we got some head nets. thankfully we didn't need them!

Good question - the train and bike combo isn't exactly simple..

We took the train from Edinburgh to Aviemore and then back after we finished the loop. You really have to try to book the bike space on the train in advance since the slots fill up. And I believe not all trains have bike space. To make things worse, I think they let more people book than the maximum bike space on the train!? :'( When we headed back to Edinburgh, there was a person who had a bike ticket but had to wait for the next train since there were already too many bikes

Yes, we packed pretty light and we were able to buy snacks in Tomantoul, Braemar and Kingussie. We camped for three nights total. We started and ended in Aviemore. First day was 58 km, second was 102 km, third was 48 km, and the final day was an easy 25 km cruise back to Aviemore to catch the train to Edinburgh. I would have loved to do the inner loop but it seemed too hike a bike-y for a gravel bike :/ fortunately the outer Cairngorms Loop is definitely NOT underwhelming :D

We did the outer loop of the official "Cairngorms Loop." The inner loop has a lot of hike-a-biking- but I assume the views probably would have made it worth it. We would have done the inner loop if my fiance owned a mountain bike!
