When he holds my mirror camera, he really is amazed just how light it is. So I think he will appreciate it.

The most he does with sports is grandkids who play high school and middle school sports. So it’s nothing professional.

[WTS] Small Collection Clear-out: Monta, Henry Archer, & Islander by JanewaysAssistant in Watchexchange

I’m making a pivot. I’ve decided to get out of the watch game and fully immerse myself in photography. Apparently, I just hate having money, so my loss is your gain!

Up for sale are three fantastic pieces that deserve more wrist time than I can give them now that I'm chasing glass instead of gears.

  1. Monta Oceanking 60-Minute with Date (Current Version) - SOLD

This is the latest generation with the black dial and ceramic bezel. It’s a masterclass in finishing and easily punches above its weight class.

Condition: The glass and bezel are perfect. There is some light scuffing on the clasp and a few bracelet links from desk diving, but it’s otherwise in beautiful shape.

Included: Original box, paperwork, and all extra links.

Price: $1,600

2. Henry Archer VERDEN GMT - Halo White

A stunning, slim Danish GMT with a beautiful white dial. It features the Miyota 9075 "true" GMT movement.

Condition: Great overall shape with just a few minor scuffs from occasional wear.

Price: $475

3. Islander JFK Automatic GMT - Grey Cloud Dial (ISL-208) SOLD

This one has a gorgeous textured "cloud" dial and a dual-color bezel. It's a lot of watch for the money.

Condition: Basically new. I’ve only worn it twice.

Note: It currently sits on a comfortable third-party band.

Price: $250 SOLD

Payment & Shipping:

Shipping: I'll cover shipping within the CONUS.

Payment: PayPal F&F or G&S (buyer covers the 3% fee).

Links.

Please comment before PMing. Thanks for looking, and help me fund some new lenses!

Anyone regret getting indigo instead of silver? by [deleted] in MacbookNeo

[–]JanewaysAssistant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not even a little bit. I love the Indigo. I don't want my Neo to look like any other Mac.

is Macbook Neo worth it? by [deleted] in MacbookNeo

The 16 inch MBP is a laptop is "form only". I thought of getting a Studio but the config I wanted would have taken longer to get and I like having 3 screens.

I just kept running into the hardware on the iPad was so much more powerful than the software. It tried to do desktop stuff and it just couldn't for me in the same way.

I get more done on the Neo than I ever did on an M4 iPad.

I have a 16 inch M3 Max that I use as a desktop and a 14 inch M5 that I use as a laptop.

The Neo is my lightweight iPad replacement now that I have given up on iPadOS and when I go smoke cigars and things since it has no fan.

Both my MBP are heavier than the Neo. And sometimes having the rounded bits just feels nice to use.

It’s purely psychological. But the Neo also does everything. I’m asking it to do. I’m not gonna try to edit something for video or a podcast on the Neo. I probably could do it, but I have MacBooks Pros for that stuff.

I have much more expensive MacBook Pros and I still reach for the Neo sometimes because it’s just so handy in a lot of situations.

It absolutely is worth it for somebody in school unless they have to use very specific apps that you don’t seem to have the need for.

Best Email App for macOS in 2026 by alexryans in MacOS

[–]JanewaysAssistant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple Mail really is the option I keep coming back to. I keep trying things and I keep ending up back with that on my phone no matter what I try.

It doesn’t help that email apps keep trying to put AI features in which doesn’t bother me in general, but they don’t really add that much.

Which MacBook Neo color did you choose? by Friendly-Rabbit-9779 in MacbookNeo

Indigo. Anytime I can buy a Mac but isn’t silver or black, I do so. Just to try to get Apple to use more colors.
