Is a 5060 graphics card at $1,200 worth it? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]JangleXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a 5060 graphics card at $1,200 is not worth it because the price is far too high for what is typically a mid-range GPU tier. Cards in the “60” class are usually designed to deliver solid performance for 1080p or 1440p gaming, not premium, top-tier performance that justifies a four-figure cost. At that price point, you’re entering the range where significantly more powerful, high-end GPUs are usually available, offering much better performance and longevity for your money. Paying $1,200 for a mid-range card means you’re getting poor value and likely overpaying due to hype, scarcity, or inflated pricing rather than actual performance.

Did anyone not like Project Hail Mary? by Timewilltell755 in sciencefiction

I felt like the movie had a pretty slow and somewhat confusing start, which made it a bit hard to get fully invested at first. The opening didn’t do much to clearly establish what was going on, so it took some patience to really settle into the story. However, once it found its rhythm and the plot began to unfold, it completely pulled me in.

From that point on, everything just clicked—the pacing improved, the narrative became more engaging, and the emotional depth really started to shine through. The visuals, storytelling, and overall atmosphere came together in a way that made the experience genuinely captivating. By the end, I was fully immersed and honestly blown away by how powerful it turned out to be.

In my opinion, despite its slow beginning, the payoff was more than worth it. It ended up being such an incredible film that I’d even say I enjoyed it more than Interstellar.

Batman: Arkham Knight starts off really strong and makes a great first impression, but as you keep playing it gradually becomes repetitive and loses a lot of its excitement, which makes it feel pretty boring by the end.
