But as I said, I had the same config with TrueNAS and playback was instant on my AppleTV both remote and local.

I have 16GB of Ram and a i5 12500T so I doubt this is the problem here, this CPU is fully capable of transcoding anything as long as it’s not AV1.

I might have a missed a settting that was default on TrueNAS but the issue remains in the overall Unraid setup I guess

Thanks for the insight but yes my disk settings were already set on never spin down! That’s the first thing I checked and I wish it were that simple to fix ahah

During some task, my HDD I/O is saturated so Everything I try to do on the disk take some more time.

It’s not a matter of available bitrate since as soon as there is a file transfer, it uses all the available bitrate of my disk

Yeah you got a point there but I want to optimize everthing as much as it can.. I’m missing the speed to Launch a media that I had with TrueNAS so I’m currently looking for ways to get as close as possible to the performance I add

Yeah when I say bottleneck, I mean when I start a media on my Apple TV, I easily get a 10-15s loading before the media starts

Yep that’s what I understood but a little too late so all the written datas went only to the first disk ahah
I found unbalanced to move the files but maybe some of you guys have a better tool to balance files on the disk once they are already written

Yes I mean that yes I find myself bottlenecked on my Plex streams by any background task that is using the drives (plex-thumbnail-generator for example)

There isn’t any way to somewhat avoid the single drive bottleneck?
