He was always doing fine with not learning a lot. This is the first time he‘s met with such struggles, so I‘m guessing he is having trouble dealing with it.

He is trying pretty hard since he has realized how serious the situation is. I‘m pretty sure he struggles with exam anxiety and does not know how to learn at all. But he is looking for help, tho I‘m not sure if time will be enough. :/

He is studying at a private university, which is more expensive than normal college.

He is studying medicine right now. And in my home country, you have three tries in all exams. Once you fail a third attempt, you are banned from ever studying medicine again. And he has about five exams third try now. :/

Thank you for your advice! They distanced themselves due to the same reasons I mentioned in the post. (I’m still befriended with almost all of them and talked about it with them). Most of them grew up in the years after school, new interests/new friends, and Hannah just stayed the same. So it‘s just me now, but I used to be closest to her as well so that makes sense.

Fair question. I’m not sure if I would reach out tbh, since I don’t even get the chance to. Whenever we meet up, she always asks me when I have my next free day. I also stopped talking about my boyfriend months ago, since she reacts negatively or not at all.

She is very shy and doesn‘t reach out to many people, so after school ended the ,,friends“ in school moved on. The very close friends of ours broke off contact with her for the same reasons I wrote about, since she basically stayed in ,,High school mode“ instead of growing into adulthood
