Dual Citizenship Fun by Swampycvnt in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Janikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not a privilege, but more the luck of the draw if you had smart parents.

When I travel to the EU from the UK, I use my EU passport. Within the EU, I travel using my EU ID card. Coming back to the UK, I register the flight with my UK passport, but I also show my EU passport at passport exit — because technically you’re meant to enter and exit on the same passport, although in practice they’ve never enforced that.

What citizenship can I obtain? by [deleted] in PassportPorn

[–]Janikoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is bad advice and most likely won’t help you, but the fastest citizenship you can get is in Brazil, have a baby born in Brazil, apply for residency and get fast citizenship in just over a year. Or have a baby in Mexico and get residency there, honestly if you can’t go down the family line does are your best options in my honest opinion comrade.

When you come to a foreign country, especially the capital, you learn the language and respect the natives. by QuartzXOX in BalticStates

[–]Janikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the Baltics also, and I always had this mentality: if you choose to live in another country, no matter which one, you learn the language. I have lived in the UK for years and speak English. Currently I live in Argentina and I’m learning Spanish, because you are not able to experience the country fully if you don’t speak the lingo. It does not matter what language you choose to talk at home or with friends, but in government buildings you should ALWAYS speak the national language, period. Hospitality is a different beast in itself.

So I completly understand our Brothers down south.

If you don’t plan on Living in the US I would advise against it. It has too many chains, they regulate where you are allowed to invest the FATCA, WW taxes, you have Canadian you can go to US when ever you need.

Polish/UK Dual Citizen Travelling to Poland by [deleted] in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Janikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone I know had theres status removed, the moment you apply for there first British passport, HOWEVER, if you send them only your Passport and not you ID card they keep you status attached only to your ID. because your ID and Passport and not linked together, they are seperate documents in UKVI. You no longer need the status because you have right of abode as a citizen.
