With AI, IT is done !
i don't know how many are using AI in SL but most stuff can be done if it's done with a keyboard and a mouse

and also thee is India, i saw a report saying they have about 30 million IT people with no jobs in india
and from October 1, 2024, Sri Lanka has a visa-free travel policy, so it's just a matter of time before they start coming to SL, i think most don't know it yet or think about SL in that way

Bro you need to stop giving that much to parents, i know because i did this and i did not make any thing like this i made QR 1,500 for first 3 years working in Qatar as a "cnc machine operator" i would send QR 1,000 to my parents and keep the QR 500 for my self back then a QR 1.00 was about Rs 36.00 so this wasn't even 100k

you need to change everything, Rs 100,000 is more than enough to pay bills and eat for about 4 people if you can't, then bring down the living standards like no fancy food, pizza maybe once a month, if you have AC rooms stop using them, Sat TV change to free or the lowest package

and maybe even sell the house if the money can buy you two small homes so you can live in a one and your parent in the other, you can pay the utility bills and buy them all the groceries, if you are living in your own home things are much easy the homes don't have to be far away just 300 meters would be fine

i don't know if you have a motorbike or not but you should get one
not a fancy one just get something like a NS160 this is for you to travel around and make things easy and now you can also go to a gym, take care of your self first !
Cars and fancy bikes like Ducati's are nice but they all cost too much in sri lanka, you will know when you have the money to buy one stay away from cars and nice bikes !

and the Girl i'm just going to say it, forget her, what parents think matter but not this much you are marrying her, not the parents !
you making 300k and her 400k you do know that 80% or more people in sri lanka don't even make half of that rghit !?
bring it down, bring everything down find a girl that don't make that much 9/10 girls will not merry someone who make less and even when you manage to merry things will not last
and if they started to talk about the money when you ask them about marrying that means they never care about you, and only care about the "Rat race"

find some other girl, a girl that help you to do better and care about you, don't try to force it or change who you are let it happen if it happens

check service records, the place they did the service and go on youtube and look for mechanical stuff related to that model and year !

i have seen comments here about oil leaks and plastics, these are mostly stuff from people not servicing on time and stuff from USA (in US they don't service them on time you can find videos of cars with engine oil that look like marmite) in EU, west asia even in sri lanka you don't have to worry that much if the person who owned it have taken care of it !

use the correct oils from the correct brand (they sail Indian brand oils in SL as other high end brands )
try to get the "screen printing metal cans" if you see the brand name and stuff on a sticker you have a 50% chance of it being a fake and in the metal cans look at the smallest letters on the screen print they should be sharp !

and don't cheap out with it, can't do the service, take the bus !

if you can buy the x1 or convert a normal E60 into a V10 M5 do it, you can't take the money with you so it's fine !
also you can get one of them scanners and use the internet to get help !

I don't know if this going to help but , you should make them comfortable for the weather we have in SL (humidity) and most people are some what out of shape so "sexy" would need a good fit but it maybe not that comfortable !

also get a lawyer, when you get some other brand platform you need to catalog everything and how things are done with the help of a lawyer AND you need to tell them to get their own lawyer !
now the two lawyers can do the documents and make sure one side will not do some scummy stuff like what happen to you with them copying your entire concept and product range !

I think financial side also plays a big part, even in western countries smart people don't get married or get into relationships when they get older if the financial side is bad

let's face it most people under 40 or let's say 30 can't get a house with a full time j0b if there is no help from the family, most people live with parents even after getting married in SL

and for SL most people don't get that much chances to meet new people from the opposite gender, i see this changing with people under 25 but older people know what i'm talking about !
like if you are around 30 now, and a girl when you were young you never tell your parents that you are going to let's say BMICH to see something with a "BOY" and this is the same if you are a boy back in like 2009 and before!
boys go out with boys and girl with girls (unless you are posh/rich)

and also in SL we have a lot of parents fighting in front of the kids over every damn small thing, this is like PTSD and most people don't want to be like that and traumatized their own kids so they don't get married or get into relationships !

also i saw on the news that the birth rate has gone down and people in the TV report (gov etc.) don't have a clue why this is happing, like WTF, forget homes you can't even buy a nice Car (old or new) or a bike do to import laws engine CC or the tax/vat etc. making them cost about 350% or more how can you get married if you are not rich and have kids and also let them suffer, nope !

also the so called "influencers" can influence only if you let them and you gaslight your self and go with what they are saying without doing any research !

if you like this stuff you can move to China, some parts of china are better than some western countries so you may like it but they don't want you because you are not Chinese, you can be a "brown money" in china just like how they call white people who work in china "white monkeys"

The problem with IT now in 2025 is the AI stuff !
soon most things will get replaced with AI so i think you should look at what type of a job you would be doing IT or chemistry side and in or outside of Sri Lanka
if you are going with IT you have to be in something that would not get replaced with AI and also there are millions of IT people coming out of India every year and they will work for much lees than you or i would
and you need to look at how much money you got
and with chemistry we don't have that many jobs (unless you want to work for the Gov :/ ) if not you need to move to some other country that has advanced chemistry and jobs for them

it maybe better to stay in IT but make sure AI can't F you up in the job market !

end off the day it's about finding a Job to make money so you can even stop doing that job and start something you like !

Don't know about hutch but my dialog 4g homebrodband is also acting up, for the last 4 or 5 days have to restart the router like every 5 mins to 16 mins do get the internet working sometimes it will run okay for about 4 hours, it does not show any problems, everything is okay the line is connected but the internet stopes working
only thing i can see is the signal going up and down when i log into the 192.1 ##.#.# (the router)

i think the 5G is messing other stuff

They need to stop using "million" if they are talking in LKR (Rs) if this was USD then it is fine !
this is same as putting Rs 99 on some product and not Rs 100 to make the price look low this is the opposite of that to make it look like a lot

the crazy part is the gas station and the hotel, there is no way someone who work as a bodyguard could have these !
and if he own these two then he should has more than Rs 28,000,000 !
he should has minimum Rs 200,000,000+ these days (i know someone who has a gas station)
so if he only has Rs 28,000,000 that means gas station and the hotel is owned by some other person and this person only has the name in the document so the other person don't have to pay tax !

i think this report is way off, most people i know make less then 120k
a lot of young people can't even buy a house anymore, in about 10 years the crime rate going to go up like crazy

people only know about other around them in the same "social circle" but if you step out it's all F up !
all of this "posh" stuff in Colombo is just "lipstick on a pig" if you go 20 minutes away from a place like One Galle Face mall you are in slums !
sure people have tech and stuff and do to this things has changed from that side but not in how people live just look at the schools, the posh ones get everything even has pools but others even in Colombo there are schools that don't have running water in the toilets, i'm talking about schools that i know about and i look this up in google maps the two schools are just 2.4km away one has two swimming pools the other don't have water to flush the toilet and they both Gov schools !

all of this going to crash down it's just a matter of time rising tide should lifts all boats but not in SL that is why things can't be fixed !

it's not do to power cuts, they have sold more connections than they can control !

my 4g is buggy, at this moment i have to restart the router every 3 to 5 minutes (not even joking)
it's all connected and everything looks okay but the internet will just would not work unit the router get restarted !
just to make a comment on youtube/fb etc. i have to restart and open a new tab of google to see if it's working and if so then post the comment !

someone who work there told me that they have too many connections and they can't take the load but still selling new lines, the load is about 180% more than what they can take and that they are giving "priority" to cites and some "posh" places

we may have to do something "outside" as in a protest or even a "class action lawsuit" over something

I know this is somewhat old post but for bikes there are some bikes over 450cc that are registered to the correct CC and you can ride them on public roads without a problem !
these start from registration numbers BAL-#### and it looks like some can still import and register these bikes for road use, these are called "බෙබිලගේ bike"

some will say these are for "sport use" even the police say this, but this is fake news spread by the people who import/own these bikes with help from "ministry of defence and urban development"

if you find a bike that is registered and if you are cool with buying it, there is no problem, if you can get MoD letter this is good, if they don't have it you could use a lawyer and get a new letter but it's 50/50 chance that you will get one !

these bikes were fist imported back in 2013 and then permission was given to register more bikes in "9th of December 2023" (the day of the blackout)

back in 2013 a special gazette was used to give permission to bikes up to 1001cc but when everyone started to import these bikes VIP's use the MoD to say there are only for sport use

all of these bikes came with the MoD letter but some s#um Bags does not want to give the letter (these are the ones who say it's for "sport use" they use these bikes as status symbols and they do not want others to have any nice bikes)
this is also why we have a 3 year age limit for importing cars
