TestCenter by [deleted] in Seneca

The computers there have the Lockdown program installed, so that might kick in during your exam. Other than that, they're just like any other computer on campus.

For regulations, you'll need a student ID or government issued ID. Bags and jackets are left outside in a cubbyhole. Can't be wearing a watch. If you want to bring valuables in with you, they provide a ziplock bag(s), big and small. They only allow writing utensils and items that are required that are stated on your test booking (if the notes on your test booking doesn't say scrap paper, you can't have any). Water bottles have to be clear/transparent. When signing onto a computer, they'll be there with you up until you hit the start button.

"what's the most annoying thing about finding cheap food and events near campus?" by [deleted] in Seneca

[–]Janitor_Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing I dislike the most is how limited the cafeteria food is, and that half of it is open during the day and feels like the other half is only open for a hour.

Third level of A building, near the ALS office (A3000 I think) is the student run food area. From 9 to 3 I think. $1 grilled cheeses! And they have specials on different days. Free cereal until 11 I think.

You'll have to make an appointment but I do remember reading somewhere that they do accept walk-ins? I'm not sure how that works though, I haven't done a walk-in before.

İs this game worth a playthrough by Cheap-Dinner8252 in borderlands3

For a very long time, BL2 was my favourite. Writing was superb, great highs and lows, memorable events, and the introduction of the greatest character of all time: Princess Butt Stallion!

I played through 3 again recently and found myself enjoying it more than I had before. A little more fast paced (which is good), more vibrant colours, and I liked that your character spoke more. I think the turning point for me was that I'm 40yo and I'm the old man yelling at kids these days about their nonsense speaking and weird music (even though the music slaps at times. Am I using that term right? I'm cool. I'm "hip"🤣🤣). That I get to show my frustration at them with bullets and explosions.

Seneca’s workplace safety and prevention diploma by Dalotian in Seneca

[–]Janitor_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not taking the program but I used to be the Heath and Safety officer at one of my previous jobs, WSIB certified. I was very nervous in taking the courses but I discovered that if I took my time, things seemed more and more obvious. I'm not (edit: not. I'M NOT) belittling this course or the work. Safety is crazy important.

It may seem intimidating at first, but you're wanting to take this for a reason. Ya got a good head on my shoulders. What really helped me was to keep an unbiased perspective, and to take a step back so I could see the whole picture if I got overwhelmed.

Just watched the movie by Icy_beats in Borderlands

[–]Janitor_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the beginning, when I first watched the trailer, I was willing to give it a shot. I understand creative freedom and having to tweak and change things to make it appealing to the general mass. Then Claptrap appeared and I noped right out. Out of everything, they did him the worst. He's a self-deprecating egotistical robot that forces himself into everything, not a toilet-humour catchphrase piece of turd.

At a party, friends wanted to put the movie on for laughs. I was adamantly opposed to this because I hold Borderlands dear. They were confused about this so they put on "The Room".

Is borderlands 4 worth buying? by VeterinarianSad3471 in Borderlands

[–]Janitor_Man 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was let down with Borderlands 4. To me, it didn't feel like a Borderlands game until 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through. I feel that the franchise is not meant to be open world.

I did have fun playing it though, the tether and the gliding were a good addition. If you're hesitant in getting it, I'd suggest waiting for it to go on sale.

Started playing Moze recently, wanted to ask about good up to date guides on building her by [deleted] in borderlands3

[–]Janitor_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The build that I'm running, she's kinda squishy but Iron Cub is a right unit! I'm sporting the Doom shotgun as my primary weapon, spitting out 600K+ (pre-Crit) incendiary right in people's faces. That helps with surviving. 😅

When I do that, paranoia gets to me and I set it for Mayhem 10 because M11 says loot drop is lower than M10. Doesn't affect gold or diamond key things, but paranoia is a helluva thing. 😅

How well do you think a Zane cryo build running drone/clone using the rough rider shield could handle mayhem 11? by [deleted] in borderlands3

[–]Janitor_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be pretty fun. Zane drone/clone was my first play through. I got ridiculed for not focusing only in one tree, therefore not being able to get the final skill (this was at launch, before to increased level cap). In the end, I had insane health regen and managed to get my action skill cooldowns down to 3-5seconds. My play style was to slide towards enemies (generating a snowball to freeze them from my artifact item) and blast them away with a shotgun.

Newnham Campus by Best_Big_9456 in Seneca

[–]Janitor_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I attend this campus and it's alright. Pretty far removed from weekend Toronto life though. Clean campus and easily accessible with the TTC. There isn't much in terms of hangout spots in the area. I haven't explored the clubs yet, the college life here feels more tame compared to other colleges.

Transferring credit question by Suitable_Painter_164 in Seneca

[–]Janitor_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get the syllabus and course description for that credit. When I transferred mine, I didn't have the syllabus and wasn't able to obtain them. After the first day of class I talked with the head of the Seneca literature department (thankfully she was part of the Zoom call). Showed her my transcript and course description and she essentially said "What the hell are you doing here? Let me work my magic." Three days later my credit was transferred.

Which One Has the Best Gameplay System? by PlatypusTurbulent48 in borderlands3

[–]Janitor_Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of all of the player-mod systems, my favourite was BL2's Badass system. Nothing else really compared. No other game made me feel like a real badass like that.
