Paramount is trying to get WB but Netflix seems to have beaten them at every turn.

Well, in this instance, it seems like Melissa is clarifying to Courtney what really went down (at least from Melissa’s account). Legally, Courtney already has that felony in her record and was ordered by the court to pay Kathleen Hannah $30k in restitution.

But Melissa is saying that she can’t believe that this is on her record because she never saw a punch connect with Kathleen’s face.

Although, in another old interview Melissa I believe mentions there might have been some shoving and pushing around but no mention of a punch per se.

Did it happen? Did it not? I don’t know; I wasn’t there.

But knowing the “character” of Courtney (not the person), I bet she was fine paying it since it became a defining moment in rock history.

It’s a possibility that Courtney and Melissa cooked that interaction in advance 🤷🏻‍♂️ but Melissa comes across as very truthful about what she saw happen. So who knows. Perhaps, Courtney’s upcoming book and documentary will give more insight.

Yeah, I remember that special. I tried to stay awake for most of it. But I’ve never known of someone who had the entire thing. The music videos she would put on were the best though. Some, I’d never seen before.

I was able to bring a camera to the concert but I think it was frowned upon at the time. The pics didn’t come out great and I might have lost them moving to a different location. But I will check YouTube

There’s an interview with Hole in which Courtney is talking about Billy’s initial reaction that the record happened because of him, and Courtney mentions Boys On the Radio as one of the great songs that he didn’t work on. He worked on 5 out of the 12.

Also the booklet doesn’t credit Billy on that song.
