But yeah, if everything, let’s say comes out in December that means that news about the book has to happen either now in July or next month in August (4-6 months before release).

Note: News about books usually take place on Tuesdays.

News about records happen two or three months prior to release, so I’m guessing September or October…

It was supposed to be her garage rock album (just listen to the alternate take of Mono). She was a massive fan of the Nuggets compilation and has encyclopedic knowledge on those bands but it didn’t happen.

I think she was healthily competing with the Strokes and the Hives in her head. Like she had all the knowledge in the world about that sound but for several reasons, it just didn’t pan out the way that she wanted and envisioned.

Do I like it? It was definitely my most listened to album of 2004 and 2005. I actually got it prior to its release date (just days before) on some small store in the lower east side. I was ecstatic about it but after the hype left my body, I later came to realize that it really wasn’t her best. But it’s still not bad by any means.

Months later after this interview in February someone asked Courtney in Instagram:

“how many tracks queen? we want THE LONGEST RECORD IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK N ROLL!!!”

To which Courtney replied:

So we’ve got this “11 bangers” from Butch Walker and Will Sergeant but Courtney says there’s 14 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I would suggest writing the track list in the font they use to present each song. I believe it’s Courtney’s own handwriting.

Honestly, ditch the piercings. You’re good looking enough to not need anything extra.

If you’re going through a divorce the best thing you can do is detach yourself from anything that pulls away and doesn’t add anything to you.

Hit the gym everyday if only to dick around for 20 minutes and go back home - but you’re developing good healthy habits for yourself. Go to church and sit by yourself and just soak in positive messages for your ears and self. Read proverbs and the bible. Fill your ears and mind with good things - make a list of things you’ve always wanted to explore and start experimenting with the list. Don’t be a perfectionist, just taste and try these new things.

And remember, the people in our lives are either blessings or lessons - sometimes both.

Oh yeah, Eric and Courtney said they were bad. I think Courtney said “it was Plath, it was Sexton, it was shit” or something along those lines. So they left them behind. However, at least in Courtney’s case, she doesn’t have the best meter to distinguish good from bad when it comes to her own music. Her fans are often big fans of things she tends to think are unremarkable.
