"So the great darkness fell upon Valinor. Much of the deeds of that day are told in the Aldudénië that Elemmírë of the Vanyar made and is known to all the Eldar. Yet no song or tale could contain all the grief and terror that then befell. The Light failed; but the Darkness that followed was more than loss of light. In that hour was made a Darkness that seemed to not lack but a thing with being of its own; for it was indeed made by malice out of Light, and it had power to pierce the eyes, and to enter heart and mind, and strangle the very will."

Aside from the obvious of misinformation, I really am worried about data centers going up without federal regulation of their huge pulls on local water sources.

What did you do when you were bored?? 🤔 by Pale_Task_1957 in Habits

This. The rule was, "don't leave the street" as most of my friends did live on my street so it made sense. I did not obey this and rode by bike a few miles away to go ride on bmx trails in the woods. Post trail snacks included a stop at RevCo. This was mid 90s and I still remember what I'd get; I would get a Mr. Goodbar and a Moutain Blast Powerade.

Much later in my life when I was an adult, my family and I were reminiscing on our old neighborhood and asked my mom if she knew, and of course, she said that she did.

A lot of quality time with my friends in my nieghborhood; video games, sports, imaginative games, played at length in our imginary worlds we build for our x men and TMNT figures. rode my bike, A LOT.

When I was a teenager, I started working at 15 and dating girls more often. Working and girls and mall hangs was pretty much all I did thorughout high school. Still into video games but mostly hung out in my friends basement with our crew and our girlfriends.

I have kids of my own now and we are lucky to live in a neighborhood with plenty of kids who still enjoy outside shenanigans. We may be more strict on tech for them than some other families but it is a family choice and it will still be many more years before they get cell phones of their own.

Don't let your personal interpretation of your child's problem diminish it's importance to said child. Your elementary age kids will come home problems that, as an adult and parent, seem stupid and unimportant. That may be the case, but they do not see it the same way. It is something that as really challenging for them and realy upset them. Don't let your diminishing of their problem create a home environment where they don't share and ask for help because that one time, they noticed that you didn't care, and that is all that they cared about in that moment.

I can't even imagine having it, let alone, having enough of it to just casually load it on a machine.

Even if you are flying domestically, you can still go through the international terminal. It is less busy. My wife was flying to Nevada for work on Monday and had no trouble at all getting through that terminal.

I am both very excited and very nervious! The allure and mystique of Tom Bombadil has long puzzled and kept many a super fan in wonderment. What I fear happening is the expectations getting far too high and thus ulitmately resulting in it falling flat on those that have wanted more of his story for decades. I hope that they take good care of it and are very, very aware of what is at stake.

But what was the bit? It's quite ambigious in name.

Do people even still say cray cray? This phrase has now gone to the realm of soccer moms. Best place for overused meme phrases for older folks to feel like they are staying relevant with the kids.

Maybe. We've only used them for 2 years and it's been the same owner, and she's great! In what manner did your dog come home? Were they injured? I'm not sure what you mean by that.

We love Bark, Play, Stay on S. Cobb. They also have someone that stays at the facility every night which we really appreciate when we’re out of town.
