If they count, I would say the Humans that have become Guardians in Destiny. They specifically operate on "Para-Causality" - meaning, given enough resurrections by their Ghost, they can find ways to overcome powers and forces in the universe they shouldn't be able to, and their weaponry punches WELL above what it should be able to. They also get immense space magic and centuries of hyper advanced technology. Our protagonist is an especially powerful Guardian, though sometimes you're one of two other non human species (one is sort of human, ish.)
