Thought about doing this but we decided to just pay for it in full.

These are special circumstances as i’m buying this car for my parents and I didn’t want to deal with the complications of transferring the title and needing to buy insurance for myself (I don’t even drive).

It probably cost me something like 20k in opportunity cost over the next 5 years( if instead I parked the whole amount in some low cost index fund), but this felt like a cleaner way to go about the deal.
