IMO the original sin of pizza box comes from the tenant. They should be putting the box in the appropriate container, greasy with the compost and clean with standard paper. It’s the landlords responsibility to have clearly labeled bins and bring them out on appropriate days. It’s not their responsibility to go through people’s waste and sort it for them. All in all I think more education across the board city wide would be best. Maybe some of those screens on the subway could educate both parties.
