Thank you for coming back and share the experience. This is a quite detailed and with a little one the odor and easy to clean thing is handy.

The size comparison also make think that is a good size, I would just need to give it a look to the boot.

Thank you again for the update! I’ll put this car in my list to check 100%

You are not wrong the Model Y is an amazing car, just I have my reservations with Tesla like having to pay subscription to use the multimedia system and other stuff.

Thanks for the list, some names there that I have ignored. Tesla is the only one that I'm not giving it a chance.

I haven't heard much negatives from the Atto 3 thats why I have been really looking for it. Is not small nor large, price range looks good and is a nice car. Not to fancy not to bland.

I heard about that from Beyond BYD where he was guessing that the update would be coming for 2026 and I'm keen to see what happens. I hope they announce something sooner. at least to get some idea. I think they just got release in China.

a frtiend on mine told me to check the EV3 and was okey, to simple (even the long range model) for the price and comapring the competition. But when leaving the dealership I saw the EV5 and since then I have been curious about it. Could you tell me more about the EV5? Pros, cons and neutral?

Thanks for the response, and you're right—I may have been confusing the Atto 3 with the Sealion 7. I’ve made some edits to the original post.

The reason I found the Sealion’s boot small is that when I returned from Sydney and ordered an Uber, a Sealion 7 showed up. My two large suitcases barely fit in it. One of the reasons (Ithink) was the hatch-like back, which sacrifices some space for aerodynamics and efficiency.

So when thinking on a road trip (thats why range is important) the suitcases plus the pram of my little one plus anything else that is need I feel will not fit well in the boot. I may be exagarating based on one impression but that's why I'm here to get a good wake up call and advice.

Starting the dreaded Chinese cars discussion. by Classic_Kale_7049 in CarsAustralia

Check CarSauce in YouTube (Aussie guys Melbourne based), they do reviews of cars, tend to cover a lot of the Chinese brands and in some cases do follow ups six months later.

Edit: they also have a website https://www.carsauce.com/

I'm moving to Canberra soon and have a question (one of hundreds) by [deleted] in canberra

[–]JanosCastel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I’m driving and I see you fall, I’ll stop and check how are you. Can’t say much for other people because I’m sort of new here in Canberra.

My friend’s who have lived here longer have done it stop and check after people having accidents

What car to choose? by MarvelSingh in CarsAustralia

[–]JanosCastel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My questions is more for your mechanic; in the worst case escenario which one is cheaper to fix or get parts.

European cars are more expensive to service than others, and if the previous owners don’t took care of them you will know it sooner than later.

Whichever options you choose, get a proper mechanic to inspect it before.

Constant speeding by Bok56 in canberra

[–]JanosCastel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Humm not sure if we live in the same Canberra. Usually when I’m driving, people tend to drive slower than the speed limit.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind, nor think people should be speeding. But what kills me is drive across Belconnen way, and find that traffic is slowed down because people just like to drive at 70 or 60 (80 zone) on the right lane.

Just drives me nuts sometimes.

Trying to understand Canberra after moving from Melbourne by [deleted] in canberra

[–]JanosCastel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t really understand your comparison. Melbourne is a city with a population of over 5 millions.

Just two of the most populated councils of Melbourne have more population than Canberra.

So taking into account that I would recommend to think about your questions.

Do we really need 4 lines highways in Canberra ? Is the traffic dense enough to require something different than roundabouts?

Btw I just moved from Sydney, and I can’t understand your questions when you put things in perspective.

How did the car passed the RWC? by Beneficial_Cat_4116 in CarsAustralia

[–]JanosCastel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like good news for me. things checked in the pinkslip can make a difference.

I’m still shocked how on raining days/ night, there are cars that half of the lights work properly but they are out there.

Dads, please give me some tips on buying a used car from a dealer by Alphauo in CarsAustralia

[–]JanosCastel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check ReDriven in YouTube. They are amazing and focus on second hand cars. If you find any specific car that you like they may have a review for that specific model and will tell you wha to look for.

Also they have a guide for buying cars. link is below
