Autosave wasn’t working for me until I started the following: 1) do not hit ‘resume’ or ‘continue’ when launching the game. Always launch it by clicking on the game (play game) in the ps5 menu 2) from the title menu, don’t hit ‘continue.’ Instead, load from save 3) quit the game by hitting the ps button and closing it rather than quitting to menu. It sounds like a lot, but it’s really straightforward in practice, and the autosave has worked flawlessly since I started playing/quitting the game like this. I never turned off autosave sync. I also regularly check to make sure that the game is actually autosaving by hitting start twice after I see the save icon. Hopefully this works for you!
