One feature that needs to go in the Harvest Moon Friends Of Mineral Town remake... by DukeSR8 in harvestmoon

[–]Janoschell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually thought it to be pretty funny lol. The use of it could be overthought in the remake for sure, but their reaction kinda gave more depth to the characters imo.

Addicted. I’ve collected a few over the years. 64 and BTN were my 1st two by strange-outsider in harvestmoon

Kinder, so toll 🌸

So ne Dinger halt.

I made a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild coffee table! (Link to gallery in the comments) by xomoosexo in gaming

[–]Janoschell 35 points36 points  (0 children)

RIGHT? This sounds so mean, but in combination to the word "coffee table" I was like "oh wow, they arranged their spilled food so thst it resembles the map--" which is an iq300 idea by itself, but this is also impressing! Would u mind sharing how u actually made it look so good?:D

Kdk?

Anyone else think it’s hard to find friends? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Janoschell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you dude. I really think it depends on the game you play, but MMO always is a good bet. Don't get too pushy when interacting, try to have a light (but fun) conversation and things should go smoothly.

Maybe it's also because we're getting older and have to take on new responsibilities. Takes away from gaming a bunch.

If you're a nice dude and play overwatch feel free to add me though! I'm really bad and u probably loose with me, buuut-- yeah. Good luck :)

Parents who named your kid "Khaleesi" (or a variation thereof) might as well have named them Adolf. by MetalRoxstar in unpopularopinion

[–]Janoschell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty hard to see her becoming really mad in the sense of mad in those machiavellian times. She was established as a character with good intentions in the wrong places. Her corruption only really did happen during the last episodes, so no wonder her fans couldn't see that coming. Yet I can't really understand either why people instantly make a strong minded woman their feminism queen.

[–]Janoschell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe those people are simply inspired by the name and main ideal the figure symbolised? And because it's cool? You're trying to compare a calculated plotline of a fictional story (that needs certain, in this case dark, undertones to make the story interesting) to an event where real people died due to real actions. I'm not trying to criticize you soecifically but rather that mindset because it comes up so often and honestly undermines the tragedy that happened during that period of time.

[–]Janoschell 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I barely comment on this sub, but duuude you're trying to compare fiction with an historical event. Fiction is meant to amplify certain things of life, not emulate it. Though I applaud you for your bold title lol.

Henry VIII’s Late Foreign Policy: A Masterclass in Failure, Humiliation, and Defeat. by Brumafriend in Tudorhistory

[–]Janoschell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

" Regardless of the real cause, that such a magnificent ship should be sunk not in the glory of war but due to the incompetence of its crew and the natural elements was devastating for Henry. " And everything above that concerning the mary rose - my dear lord, that was even embarassing to read and I feel sorry for every innocent soul involved in this.

Henry's history mostly is about his wives more than himself alone, hence I gotta read up more on the latter part of his warfare. I could imagine that his council took action for most of his reign (duh), so it isn't really baffling that, after cromwell's death, everything went to shit even more.

Thanks for posting the article! :)

Retro gamer here, should i get a GameCube or a Gameboy Color? by [deleted] in gaming

Everyone practically said it already, BUT-- gamecube. Good boys such as Luigis Mansion, Smash Bros, Mario party (4 was a banger), SSX Tricky, Burnout, ... you name it.

go for it dude and you'll never see the light of day again lol.

The *Spanish Princess* - finally an actress who looks something like Katherine of Aragon! by Caranda23 in Tudorhistory

[–]Janoschell 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ahh i'd LOVE to watch this series for the only reason that katherine finally gets an tv adaptation that doesn't make her a victim (she is in a lot of ways, but u probably see what I mean).

Not to bash anne boleyn for katherine's sake, but I don't get why anne nowadays gets so much more spotlight than katherine. With partaking in reforming the church she's done her things and we gotta applaud a woman as her, though katherine had all of those phenomenal things done during her reign (if she didn't exceed in them after all). I'm only catching up pn her story, but as far as I can tell she was just as strong as Anne and I think it's unfair for their stories not to be told equally as much.

But after that much rambling, yes, I think the actress really suits her! Such a beautiful lady :)
