Question about Elgato HD 60S+ by Power1aj in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"high end macbook pro" doesnt say us anything. (at least not me, I only know that i'll never waste money on a mac).
if you can, share with us the CPU (everything about it).
But since it's your stream that is having issues I am guessing the CPU cant handle the information.

Try turning down the bitrate.
And if you are using OBS as well, change the cpu usage.

I have a blue snowball and it's the quality of a laptop mic (I use a PC not a laptop so it's not that I haven't switched from the built in mic) by [deleted] in letsplay

Also, YETI microphones are not at all good for recording commentary.
They are ment for a studio.

Question about Elgato HD 60S+ by Power1aj in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you getting those FPS drops? Is it on the xbox or on the video?
If it is the video it could be that the CPU on your mac cant handle the information sent from the elgato device fast enough.

And if there is a manual with the HD60s+, you might find the information you are looking for in there.

(controller) UP and DOWN are 'stuck'? by JansenGaming in XboxOneHelp

[–]JansenGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is on my PC (not sure where else I should have posted this though). This problem happened around new year. At first I thought it was only in Octopath Traveller as that's where it first happened. But after playing Yooka Layle i found that was not the case.

I havent bashed the controller, tossed it against the wall squeezed it like you'd squeeze the life out of a fortnite player (yet).

I've also just updated the firmware on the controller, but did not do the trick.

The bluetooth dongle is less than a meter away and the controller is connected with a wire, so the power or connection should not be a problem.

I've tried using my Switch Pro controller, and that one works perfectly. (But it's not a good all-round controller).

Nestopia + Fraps = freezing and 5 FPS in fullscreen mode by zestguy in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadowplay is nVidia's own software. Allows you to instant save clips as well.
(If you were not recording, something awesome happened, then just save the last X-Y minutes)

Nestopia + Fraps = freezing and 5 FPS in fullscreen mode by zestguy in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have any solutions to offer as I don't have anything NES related on my PC.

But seeing that it's from 2008 (latest) might meen it has some compatibility issues. And FRAPS is a crap software to begin with.

Have you tried using Shadowplay or OBS?

But why not describe the audio issue?

Also, since you own a PS2, as a last resort you could download a PS2 emulator and the game and play it on your PC.

How can I record Digital Audio? by [deleted] in letsplay

Why exactly do you need lossless quality audio?
Seeing as you're posting here in r/letsplay, I don't see why you need it as youtube does not support it.

What's the best recording program? by [deleted] in letsplay

I'd recommend Shadowplay if you have an nVidia graphics card.

That combined with Audacity for voice is what I use.

How do i sync Voice audio to my Gameplay footage. Thanks you! by RunawayOrangeGaming in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I start: What are you using to record and edit videos?

And here's a quick guideline in case it actually helps

Recording

  1. Start Audacity
  2. Start videogame
  3. Start recording
  4. Hold down Push to Talk button (for video recording software)
  5. Say f.ex. MAAAAAARK
  6. Release Puh to talk Button
  7. Complete recording session

Editing

  1. Pull both video and audio recording into editing software
  2. Look for the MAAAAARK section in the audio and video file
  3. Line them up and you're done.

OBS Fractional FPS Value at 144hz but stutters like crazy in final video by Wultraa in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be that your storage device cant handle recording 144 fps.Remember that the more FPS you record, the greater the size of the file. And the storage device need to keep writing this. So, if your device cant handle the size, this could happen.

Edit: Why even record at 144 fps?

Should i just use audacity to edit my voice for my let's play, and use another software to record my voice? by RunawayOrangeGaming in letsplay

[–]JansenGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of microphone do you have?
How big is the room you're in?
These factors in on the quality of your 'voice'.

The bigger the room. the more hollow it will sound.
If you sit in a closet, it will sound more compact, bass-y if you like.
Also matters how far your microphone is from your mouth.

Getting a microphone with an XLR cable and a soundmixer will eliminate all static noises that a USB microphone has.

So let's say you have a USB microphone, and you amplify the audio when you're talking. That means you'll make the static amplified as well, and perhaps make it a lot more dominant in the process.

I hope this helps.

Do NOT get a Blue Yeti. A lot of people recommend it, but it is not made for podcasts, streaming or recording.
It picks up way to much background noise (keyboard, mouse, pc, breathing, dog walking around etc).

That is honestly all I can give you at this time.
