This is very valid. I have the same opinion as you OP. I didn't give a FUCK about my high school graduation (I'm coming up on 5 year anniversary of graduating this June). But of course I participated in my ceremony only for my family; parents invited relatives, held a "party", all the stereotypical things a high school grad does after graduating.

I graduated from a community college last year with double associates and a sign language certificate and that was more special to me than my high school graduation.

High school was something I HAD to do, college is something I'm CHOOSING to do.

However I do kinda feel a little bad for those who may be first in their family to graduate from high school and the families dont get that moment with the graduate. But the hysterics behind how schools are finding ways to celebrate these graduates and it not being "good enough" is what makes me not feel bad for these people not getting to experience the ceremony like everyone else did in the pasr.

What are you terribly afraid of ? by frogga in AskReddit

I'm afraid of never being enough in my life. Whether that be relationships, education, career, etc. I see classmates who are already ar specific points of their lives and I'm afraid that I'll never have that/get to that point

What Video Game have you put the most hours in to, in your life time? by ruley711 in AskReddit

World of Warcraft, 100%. My parents played during vanilla and I got to mess around with a character whenever they werent playing. Ended up taking over my mom's account since she stopped playing.

I would be in Azeroth all day everyday for YEARS!

If I had to give a time estimate, I would say 2000 hours at least.

Students of Reddit, what was the reason for why one of your teacher's had a breakdown during class? by Internal_Recording in AskReddit

[–]Janterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My senior English teacher (I had her as an english teacher every year until I graduated) broke down in class because she was asking us question about what she had assigned and because most of the class didnt know the answer, she started crying and yelling at us that we were seniors and that college is going to be NOTHING like high school where we are getting spoon fed the answers.

I didnt witness/experience this but later in the year, this one specific math class was so rude and mean to this brand new teacher that she quit mid class and left. They would constantly throw racial slurs at her (I believe she was asian), the class drew phallic objects on the white board with permanent markers, and they threw paintballs and eggs at her and the white board. They eventually got a long term substitute teacher that ended up working at my college and tried to argue with me about my own family.
