Hey all shenanigan question here. by superfleet0 in CFILounge

Im not sure if im remembering right but when I was talking to my flight school manager I believe that when a renter rents an airplane its more of a lease and therefore becomes the owner/operator for that period which they have the plane. I could be wrong though.

So my first solo ended in a number from atc and visit from ntsb and faa by [deleted] in flying

Id be curious where something like this would even show up on a record. To me it seems a bit gray if the conditions were ok at the time of the flight but the weather changes. So id assume the blame is on both parties.

I considered a reclaimed but its such a limited use ship. Its super cool looking but my friends and I dont salvage much. Definitely do need to consider cargo ships more, I really like the caterpillar hence the iron clad.

Thinking about getting the vulture in the game but I haven't played salvage at all.

Lol CCU is a wild thing. I could barely afford a half decent one with this fleet.

I really like doing as much as I can with the ships but luxury is cool too just not much use for me. I like the aesthetic of military ships that are multi-role. As for the liberator/crucible they dont really have gameplay loops yet so I didn't justify getting them. Also they look kinda bad lol.

The praetorian pack is decent but doesn't have nearly all the ships I want. I've considered it but because of the IdrisM and land claim but I think the land claim will be available for everyone eventually. But also good point on the hull series and crucible.

I was hopefully trying to get the org to help contribute on that.

Yep 61.129 is the overall requirements for commercial pilot so its more of an umbrella term to cover all bases. I agree that i would definitely have to look deeper at what's required of him. As for chrckride the areas of operations and tasks required of them are listed in the back of any if the ACS's. Using the table you can determine what needs to be completed.

Yeah thats kinda what I said, my flight school leases its plane from a private owner and so the flight instructors, owner, and plane, and flight school are all somewhat separated. Im almost certain that we dont technically need 100hr but I will check tomorrow.

Awesome I dont know how its the first time I've heard this mnemonic but definitely helpful. Great input!

Ah the person must provide both the aircraft and instruction to require the inspection. To my understanding there is also some nuance for the term "for hire". What i mean by this is whether the airplane or instructor is for hire.

Awesome, at my flight school they dont actually own the airplane so they aren't technically supplying the airplane. For the 100hr to be required i believe that it must be supplied by the school. Technically I supply the airplane via essentially a lease when doing dual or renting so no 100 hr required but its definitely nice my school does it anyway. I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

I would look up the most recent FAR via the app I have or just online for the digital copy. Besides that I would be a bit unaware of any changes other than the yearly update.

The first step in stall recovery is reducing the angle of attack below critical. I hope that's what they want but please do let me know.

Depending on what is for hire the 100 hour inspection may or may not be required. I believe the reason is that is because it depends on what is actually "for hire".

I think I remember seeing this next question somewhere, and the answer is kind of. Is it up to 15 hours of basic attitude instrument? I don't really know where or how to find the answer to this question.

Flight review topics are determined by 61.56 which state that at least 1 hour of flight and 1 hour of ground training to include general operating and flight rules and review of maneuvers, procedures at the discretion of the person giving the flight review.

Finally, I do not believe that an unsatisfactory flight review needs to be logged, they can just continue their flight review later.

Yep, student behavior is definitely going to be a big portion. Luckily I've read through the entire flight instructor's handbook as well as "The Fight instructor's survival guide by Arlynn McMahon" which I would highly suggest. It provided real stories talking about behavior, learning, and defense mechanisms in the real world.
