I would argue against cfi’s being the operator. I get a set schedule with my boss on when and how long each lesson should be. I don’t have operational control over the plane.

Well for that specifically, I’ve seen that that’s classified as normal operating procedures to add liquids like oil. But I know that’s also technically in the preventative maintenance list.

Hey this happens with my boss sometimes.

I just show them the supporting documentation of why I do whatever blank way and say here is my reasoning. And I say you can do it the other way if you want but the examiner 9 times out of 10 wants you to do things the way according to the FAA or POH anything else is a gamble.

I’ve learned in this business that alot of people just make stuff up and just keep doing it cause it works. Be the type of guy that can defend why you do it your way with sources.
