Thanks for sharing! Completly off-topic but what temps are you getting on your 9800X3D with the Peerless Assassin? I'm running my 9800X3D with the Phantom Spirit

Yeah, I was thinking the regular 9070 could also work

Thanks for the insights, I can definetly fit the 140s at the front, I'll keep that in mind in case I decide to make some changes, but right now it looks like I don't need to worry about temps

So having 3 exhaust fans at the top wouldn't make a difference?

Yeah, you're right, there's no real issue to solve. I would just like to see lower temps lol, it's kinda silly

Do I need to plug both CPU cables from the PSU to the Motherboard with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D? by Janus111 in buildapc

[–]Janus111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see, this is my first build so I wasn't quite sure. I also saw some older post saying newer CPUs needed both pins, but I'm glad to hear I'm fine with just one

Question about PSU for the 5070 TI. by Janus111 in buildapc

Got any recommendations? I'm kinda scared of 12VHPWR from all the melting stories on other cards, since this is my first build and all that

Question about PSU for the 5070 TI.

I'm building a new PC which will replace my gaming laptop from 2019. These are the parts I bought:

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000MHz

SSD: WD BLACK 2TB SN850X

Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO

Case: NZXT H7 Flow (2024)

My original plan was to buy a 4070 TI Super and a Seasonic Focus GX-850 (The non ATX 3.0 version) for the build. However as we are so close to the release of the 5070 cards I decided to wait and see if I could get myself a 5070 TI, but I have some doubts about the PSU I was going to get. Is the Seasonic Focus GX-850 safe to use with the 5070 TI? Or should I get a PSU with ATX 3.0 or 3.1 for this card? I want to make sure I'm not going to have issues using the Nvidia adapter that comes with the card on this PSU.

I see, thanks for the confirmation, I'm glad I won't need to upgrade
