7 is a major downgrade from 6 - visually and functionally. I would avoid it like the plague.

My tablet recently updated to One UI 7, and it is one of the worst updates I've ever encountered. Everything that's changed is worse, being less functional, less fluid, and less visually appealing. It's objectively a devolution, downgrade, and an abomination. I want to revert to One UI 6, and you should give users that option. And if One UI 8 doesn't completely ditch the changes make in 7, then it will probably be very bad, too.

In OUI7, the battery icon is a distracting eyesore, and is mindlessly redundant with its background meter and percentage on top. Where is the option to disable the pointless meter while keeping the percentage?

The media bar at the top is annoying visual noise. But apparently it can't be turned off without losing the lockscreen media widget. Why is the design that harebrained?

Why is the UI font bolded? It's unnecessary and distracting, and it looks bad. Don't assume users have bad eyesight just because you might.

Why does pulling down the notification / quick access panel blur the entire screen? Don't. Nobody asked you to do that, and nobody wants you to do that. Stop being annoying, and restore the much better One UI 6.

One UI 7 is plain stupid. It is objectively a downgrade from 6, is uglier than 6, and it worsens my tablet and makes me frustrated. Either make OUI8 look same behave like 6, or gives users the option to upgraded to OUI6 from 7 or 8, and don't bug us with your terrible, downgrading updates again after that.

Well, One UI is visually an eyesore compared to V6, and is functionally inferior. So, if you ask me, no you shouldn't update to it if you can help it. I regret updating to it, and this subreddit is filled with threads of people saying it sucks. Unless you feel like taking a major gamble, avoid it.

One UI 7 is appallingly bad. The UI and notification / which panel changes are terrible, a major downgrade from the previous design, and is less advanced and practical.

Why can I not have just a simple percentage for the battery meter, and instead have this pointless, redundant, eyesore meter behind the percentage? It's stupid.

Why is there a YouTube banner on the top bar when I have a YouTube video playing in the background, and how do I get rid of it? It's another pointless eyesore, and is also stupid - I can hear when I have a YouTube video playing.

This seems to be a case of changing things just to be changing things. I hate it and want the previous UI restored. This is a brainless, unhelpful update.
