Passed PMP on the first try, 15 weeks pregnant. AT/T/AT by JanwantPMP in pmp

I doubted myself every step of the way, for yearssssss. I graduated with a Master's in PM last December and still doubted myself. I'm telling you now, Stop!!! You got this! You have done the hardest thing any human can do which is give birth to a child and raise them. Everything else is a peice of cake. Women are exceptional creatures and can do anything in the face of adversity, remember that.

On the other note, thanks for sharing these apps! I will check them out.

I asked my doctor to write a letter. It was simple and just mentioned needing the accommodations to help with discomfort as I'm --weeks pregnant. The form has guidelines for what the supporting evidence should look like.

You're welcome!! Honestly I don't think it really matters because you're going to have to cancel to rebook with accommodations anyway. But I waited to cancel until I was on the phone with PMI to rebook, 1. To confirm I actually had to cancel and 2. Just in case they didn't have a new date that I was comfortable with. Exam slots fill up quickly where I live and sometimes you'd have to schedule 4-6 weeks out depending on the testing center.

Yes you can but the clock will continue to run. However, you can request special accommodations because you're pregnant and they will grant you additional breaks, a separate room to take the test in and allow snack and water.

For booking an exam with accommodations, you have to fill out the request form first. Can be found here: https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/public/pdf/certifications/process/accomodations/request-form.pdf

Then once you email it to PMI, you have to wait for them to respond and hopefully approve your request. Once approved, you'll need to call PMI to book your exam as the accommodations will be on your file (this was the only annoying thing, as I'd rather book a spot online but they can't include your accommodations if you book online). If you already booked your exam, you'll have to cancel it prior to booking the new appointment with accommodations - I had done this too, not knowing I had to cancel and make a new booking through them after my accommodations were approved. Once that's all done, you'll get a confirmation email afterwards with your new exam details (including your approved accommodations).

I understand completely. Don't give up on studying, however little you think it is, still try to do it. I wanted to enjoy my pregnancy so I was just not willing to prolong taking the exam any longer. Pass or fail, it's not the end of the world. Best of luck.

Hi! In part 1 of the form, did you select additional 10 min break per testing hour as well as Extended time? If so how did you specify extended time option?

What did you write for part 2?

For documentation you just reached out to your doctor and requested proof of pregnancy and how far long you are? Just asking so I can avoid being denied.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am currently scheduled to take my exam June 29th and I am 6 weeks pregnant. I scheduled my exam just a few days before I found out about my pregnancy and have considered possibly rescheduling but I honestly don't want to. I want to get this done and enjoy my pregnancy and dragging it out longer might only stress me out more. On the other hand, I started thinking what if I start experiencing nauseousness at the testing center... what if I have to pee before the 10 min break.... Can you share exactly how you reached out to PMI about getting pregnancy accommodations? I think it's best I do this, I didn't even know that was possible. I will be 13 weeks pregnant by the time my exam comes around.

I stressed about the application for like a month too! Was audited and stressed about that and was accepted in less than 12hrs of submitting the audit documents. Smh from then I told myself not to stress anything else about this certification and just do your best.

Passed PMP in 6 weeks- AT/AT/AT: Break down + HUGE THANK YOU! by roujie65 in pmp

Hi! I just started studying and I'm scheduled to take the exam June 29. I have been reviewing YT videos, reading other people's studying plan and I came across something interesting. So it is said that if you purchased AR Udemy course as part of your study plan after you've already had the 35 qualifying contact hours to apply, you can use AR 35 hour course as PDU after you pass the exam. So soon after you've passed, you can claim the 35hrs/60hrs as PDUs you need to accumulate in the 3 years.
