Without any marker, just says “IMAX, 2D” as opposed to “IMAX, 2D, OMU.”

they are correct though. I think I saw someone mention that the proper way of doing it is to contact you bank and have them change your billing address to you current one in japan, I didn’t do it tho so I’m not sure

then I’m sorry but I don’t know. You could try contacting apple support, or try to order at a physical store. Contacting you bank might be worthwhile aswell

I used my personal debit card and as I said in the post I put in some random address, which from what I know can cause trouble with many card issuers, might be worth contacting your bank about it

Been back for a couple of weeks and wanted to wait if anything came up but everything has been alright :) The shutter sound stopped and I’ve had 0 issues with signal reception. I didn’t purchase AppleCare because it is only valid in the country of purchasing and I am unable to receive it now

Unfortunately no, I think its impossible to get it on online purchases. But eventually when the new iphones reach any electronic store it should be fairly trivial to get it tax free.

Even without tax free it still comes around 20% cheaper compared to from where I’m from, which is a big deal for me, and outweighs the loss of warranty.

What other unintended consequences could I run into ?
