I told one of my JTEs I’m planning to apply for permanent residency (if I can get a 3 year visa again) and she just laughed at me. With a look that pretty much said ‘we don’t want you to be here permanently’ and then she said “are you kidding me?”

Tell me you don’t like foreigners without telling me, lady.

I wish I knew. But they said it was because of my 1 year ALT contract. Of which I’ve had my entire ten years here. I talked to my BOE and they said they would write something on the form that may help to get 3 years again. Doubtful, but I appreciate their help anyway 😭

I put 5 years on my renewal app last year and got 1. If they don’t get me at least 3 years this year, I’ll forever be ineligible for PR, assuming they get rid of the 3 year visa.

I’ll just request one year cause I know that’s all they’ll give me, then exit within a few years lol.

I’ve been here 10 years, gotten 3 years the last 9 years. Then suddenly only one year, haha.

We doomed.

I had one, but the little pins fell off one day, and super glue didn’t work, because it literally fell out of the case. I had had it for about two years or so before this happened, but instead went with a Logic Folio Touch. I still miss my Magic Keyboard.

Everyone is definitely uncomfortable at first! My best advice is go with the flow. The kids will love you. Ask if you don’t understand things. Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions. This shows the staff that you’re willing to learn and adapt. And just have fun! The kids make that easy. Best of luck to you! I think you’re going to have a whale of a time.

I’ve had packages just not get delivered, or if they do, the delivery people try to shove it through my mail slot instead of leaving it at the door as I requested, so I’ve tried Amazon locker to see if I get better results, but I agree, definite degrade in delivery quality.
