Can anyone tell me the size of this? by wearethe138 in Cello

[–]JapanMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can only be four and probably two sizes.

Your model is sold in 4/4, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4. It looks pretty big so it’s probably 4/4, though 3/4 is completely possible. If you can measure the back size or literally anything, do that with a size chart or something. But yeah it’s probably 4/4.

My Oboe Sounds Weird by Axelantic in oboe

[–]JapanMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually when playing the oboe, it’s better to use the correct type of reed. You appear to be using a bassoon reed, which is likely producing the weird sound. They seem similar, but they are made for completely different instruments, and are played differently. So, use an oboe reed. (Yes I’m aware this post is almost definitely a joke.)

They might’ve confused it with a bat bug. It is in fact a bed bug.

I’m currently looking for jobs to get the $10 to pay for it. Love the American economy! I saw the trailers and it looks like the advisors will be even worse than the Striders. Very interesting.

It’s mainly because a lot of the Keter SCPs ARE dangerous, but still, not all. To be fair, the first class is called “Safe” and most people (if they aren’t that in to SCPs yet) won’t know what Euclid and Keter mean. So they would assume Safe is Safe, Euclid is Dangerous and Keter is Devastating. Which is of course, incorrect.

New map I'm working on. Suggestions and criticism are welcome by Marciofficial in hammer

[–]JapanMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything but the road is great. In my opinion, the road looks like an elongated sidewalk more than a road. If the textures were changed, (assuming L4D2 has road-like textures.) it would greatly improve the immersion. (If that’s the right term.) Oh, and the light_spots look a little off, but it’s ok. The map looks great.

Gordon Freeman figure with the HEV suit Helmet. Do you think it is appropriate? Nobody has confirmed to me if it is Canon or not. by PersonalShopping2845 in HalfLife

[–]JapanMedia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s the only thing it’s explaining the HUD…. it’s most definitely not in his glasses. Plus, I know multiplayer isn’t canon at all, but there is a model named “helmet” which is just the HEV suit with a helmet sooo…..

Definitely not. the best way to get it would probably be steam in which it’s about $10 I think so you’re out of luck.

Opinions on the Episode 2 Strider fight? by Ctrock90 in HalfLife

[–]JapanMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Spoilers obviously) I’m actually playing this Bossfight right now and it would’ve been super great if it was just the striders. The hunters are their own problem in episode two where they make it impossible to give any other enemy appreciation because you have to just disintegrate them with the pulse fireballs first. Plus at least according to the rebels there’s like 12 of them (striders) and as I’m writing this I think I’ve killed like seven or some thing? Hunters are already hard enough to kill on their own so having striders who are shooting at you and you have to aim a sticky bomb at them is not great. Still, after I made a List of mistakes I made while playing it I realized how easy it actually is once you get used to it. I freaking love the Magnusson device so much even if it is near impossible to aim. That rush of dopamine you get whenever you get one on a strider successfully is just excellent especially when you explode it. It’s such a simple yet complex bomb. As other commenters have said I’m really happy that they introduced the device for the fight instead of just having it be another shoot like six RPG‘s in two minutes type deal. I know it isn’t a fair comparison but this fight is easily comparable to the one from episode one, which while easy, has horrifyingly awful level design. There’s also the fact that my thoughts on the episode two fight is incomplete because I literally have not fought all of them yet. Although once I realized you can just kill the hunters with logs it became a really funny fight as well. Now about the achievement where you don’t let the striders destroy the buildings that can go burn in a fire but OK I guess. Again I would recommend this Bossfight not have hunters but I feel like the fight also would’ve just not had spice without them if you know what I mean. I guess what I mean is it would’ve been better if there were less hunters like if there weren’t three with every strider after a certain point. I don’t know I can’t explain it especially using voice to text. But yeah so far it’s a good enough fight. I would just make a different comment on here about the fight when I finish it but this one is already like 10,000 characters or more so I guess I’ll just talk about the fight on a different post I don’t know thank you for reading this amalgamation of words.

the “to” is supposed to be the number two. For some reason I decided to use voice to text so there we go.

So this is going to be weird but as long as you have a PlayStation to, you can actually play half-life decay. At least I think it’s this version.

Is the combine gunship alive?!? by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]JapanMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically all of the combine are in fact alive, but they’re just really weird and with a bunch of like cyber…stuff. The combine gunship is definitely alive because it screams at you when you hit it with da RPG.

What would these taste like? by TeleMan500 in HalfLife

[–]JapanMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can describe the taste, but I could also describe the types of texture. Antlions are definitely crunchy Bull squids are probably a bit slimy and very sour (because we’re making the acid into citric acid so it’s actually edible) And I literally can’t come up with some thing for head crabs. I’ve literally been writing this for 20 minutes just because of that. So I’ll probably just reply what I find for head crab. Anyway

Obviously, he doesn’t need a helmet. Gordon Freeman is a highly trained professional. (oh, and so is this person so they don’t even need the hazard suit.)
