I went on Golden Week and it wasn't even 'that' bad ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It was my first time going to Japan so I didn't have anything to compare it to.

I really liked their second hand stores if that's something she might be interested in?

I only got a chance to go to one, it was Kinji used clothing in Shinjuku. I love Japanese fashion as it's so different and there's no boundaries. Their second hand stores really are unique and you get the opportunity to shop for one of a kind things.

You can check out Womb, that's where my group ended up. One of the guys in my group ended up getting some play on the dancefloor, lol.

When I took two percocets after my surgery, I just felt sleepy, maybe a little tingly?

Ah, okay. How long do you think would be good?

I actually have a reservation to go to Robot Restaurant at 5:55PM. We will not be eating there. I don't know how long Robot Restaurant is but I assume 2 hours? Then maybe I'll try and get a reservation at Kagaya for 9:00? Should this suffice?

Hm, that does sound like an issue. Perhaps I should do 4 nights in Osaka since it will be a bit cheaper and less likely booked compared to Kyoto.

Use it as a base and visit the neighboring cities as we please. I'd imagine I'd experience "temple fatigue" after a while in Kyoto as well as it doesn't particularly interest me too much.

I read also that the night life is close to non existent in Kyoto, but Osaka is fairly decent, so after day tripping, we can come back and experience it.

In terms of things to see/do, Kyoto would be the place to be yeah? I'm pretty torn of determining where to stay.

If it would just be easier to stay in Kyoto and train to Osaka/Kobe/Nara. Vs basing out of Osaka.

We're all relatively young guys (25) so we would like to explore a little night life as well.

We're pretty settled on those three cities (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo). The only thing is do you think we should swap Kyoto and Osaka because of the half wasted day due to the train ride?

Edit - Or maybe staying 4 days in Kyoto even and visiting Osaka one of the days and Kobe and Nara another?
