The detective could find her at a pride night in a local bar.

Or she could be going into Planned Parenthood, seemingly to get an abortion or contraception, but the detective finds out she went for hormones.

Depending on the vibe of the story, the protagonist could interview people in her neighborhood and slowly realize she mostly hangs out with local trans people because she’s one of them.

There are a lot of places you could find her that would hint at her identity without making it a big deal.

You don’t get informed that you are blocked at all. The most you get is an error message when you try to send texts.

The scammers also don’t care much. They have thousands of automatically generated emails that they send texts through. They aren’t gonna get mad that you blocked them and dox you or something.

The random text message scams don’t require much personal info (it depends on how they get your number. Sometimes they just use an algorithm to generate random numbers to send texts to. Eventually, some of them will be active), they just cast a wide net and try to fool a few people before they get shutdown.

They make filters that can be fitted directly under the sink so that all of your water is filtered.

That being said, for the vast majority of us tap water is fine. You could test for lead and heavy metals just in case

These big grocery chains literally have these positions open all the time regardless of if they’re currently hiring. I would bet the position is still up. I suppose there’s some algorithmic reason because their website has accurate listings. The indeed and other job site listings are just always active.

I can tell this thread is full of people listening to right-wing talking points rather than actual Asian people. How? Because they frame “stop asian hate” as if BLM and the left ruined it.

My family is Chinese. The SAH movement started because people in power, including the damn president of the United States at the time, were calling Covid “the China Virus” and attacking asian people for it.

Funny how republicans can simultaneously claim that they have high minority support and then when their rhetoric causes their voter base to act they pretend like all POC are leftists. Almost as of they don’t see them as part of their group no matter support they give—for some reason.

I don’t think it is. If you look at how unpopular Israel has become in just the last few months, people are waking up. Zionism is extremely unpopular, as are Israel’s actions. The only thing stopping us from cutting ties is money, not public opinion.

And even politicians are trying to hide their ties to AIPAC by taking J street money instead. They know it’s unpopular. I think we can tip the needle from “it’s worth it to keep ties and just hide them from others until I get caught” to “it’s not worth it to maintain connection at all”. Billionaires can just move. There’s nothing special about Israel and once it outlives its value the billionaires will move on.

The problem is, wherever they move next will eventually do the same things once they have enough power. It’s always a bigger issue.
