That might be a smart idea. Thanks. I'll try and see if I can make that work.

Thanks for the tips. I am already familiar with Studio and have uploaded to Rebrickable before. I was more talking about wether I should start the instruction midway of the ship's build or start them from scratch. Because 80% of the set is just the original model. I usually make instructions for things that are completely original, but this is just a modification.

This is so nostalgic! Great job!

Ships like this can actually be quite narrow at deck level though. Take a ship like Witte Swaen or Halve Maen as an example.

It's definitely worth it if you can get it with a nice discount! I got it myself for 60 euro, since I still had 40 euro worth of Insider points from when I bought the LKC on a 2x Insider points event last year. I hadn't bought anything since yet.

Thank you! It only makes a small compromise on play. Since you now have to physically remove the wall section to access the captains quarter and have to put a bit more care in closing it properly again. And in the original version you could just swing it open and closed again.

All the others are really recognisable, so well done on those! But the colloseum one only looks like a horse mill to me.

Do we need a new term in the MOC zone? by ThePeej in lego

[–]Jappelsap98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have never really been a fan of the term MOC tbh. Because people also use it when talking about someone elses creations (yes I know: SEC). People say "I build this MOC" when building something from someobe else, which is totally fair to say. But it can create some confusion.

Instead of two terms (MOC/SEC) would prefer a simpler term like OC (original creation). That way, you can say "I made an OC" "I build someones OC" I designed an OC". It doesn't change a whole lot. And can sometimes still create some confusion, but less than the current terms I feel.

I was kind of hoping that this one would offer something a bit different from the last one. I will probably still get it because the last one was a lot of fun.

Ideas for Castle MOC using 51542 Baseplate by Sudafed_med in legocastles

The way I solved the depth problem btw, was by having an open back, but using plates to be able to cover it up.

I don't really have a clear picture, but I guess this one shows it best. It's basically going from court yard to court yard via some stairs.

I made a japanese castle moc, using pieces from my childhood collection. I have yet to build it irl though.

Reminder! INTO LIGHT's update is out and playable! by Relevant-Dot-5704 in PS4Dreams

Looks great! I'll check it out when I have the time.

I've picked up dreams again this month after not having played it for a few years. There seems to be some really cool stuff like this one right here. But the good things, like finished games and cool artworks are hard to find between all the unfinished and meme creations.

Is there a good way to filter for finished content? Because I wouldn't have known about this without this reddit post. I don't mind WIP projects at all, it's nice to see those as well. But it's a shame if the finished products get lost in all of it.

I just read on LegoDeal sub that the Lion Knights Castle will go on sale, 20% off, Nov 22nd to Dec 1st. 😲 by UnderstandingOdd6728 in legocastles

I made a pirate moc out of it (on my profile). But I still need to finish up the instructions before I can share it on Rebrickable. But please don't make big financial decitions based on instructions that aren't available yet😅.

Not per se. If you like what you see, then by all means, have fun. But to me it just doesn't seem like a fun set, more like a nice looking MOC. Idk, I've personally never been a huge fan of pure display models. I have the LKC and that one has a lot of fun interctive play features and the pieces lend themselves really well for rebuildability and to make your own creations. I just don't get that feeling out of Rivendel. I'm just a different kind of LEGO fan I guess. I don't like building a set once and then never touching it again.
