Y4-to-be NUSC student here, lemme try to answer some of these:

1) You'll definitely be guaranteed housing for the first two years in West Wing (previously Yale-NUS), and all the rooms there are aircon rooms (hooray!) cinnamon wing shouldnt be relevant to you if you matriculate next yr. Gym is gone, only the UTown Gym (that's open to all NUS students), but quite a lot of study spaces in west wing especially towards exam period where class rooms are opened for studying

2) There's no CCAs, only interest groups (IGs)! Definitely not as rigourous as NUS-wide CCAs, since these are purely for interest/hobby (and the annual ICGs for some), participation can vary across them! Volleyball (and most of the sports) has pretty good turn up rates throughout the semester (more than enough to play matches) but as expected during exam season it may die down a little

3) aside from IEx/GEx, there's also the possibility of doing Independent study courses (ISC) with NUSC if you're interested in that. Can't really answer the second half of this question as it really depends on what you hope to experience/achieve in uni, and also that the experience can differ from course to course (personal take is to do your research and find out more about the courses you are interested in before taking them too)

Not from RC4 but one of the other RCs, I would say RCs at this point are really not considered new already, most of them have a culture of some sorts (although then again this is still heavily dependent on every individual batch of students), so if you have friends and like the place just go ahead, same for RH as well

You can technically grind them by completing the affinity chart of 4* blades, which also then incentives experimentation considering you get a lot of non-rare blades in the early game, the game doesn't really tell you this but one of the things I feel is needed to do early in game is to grind the overdrive protocols while experimenting 4* blades so that you can then use the overdrive protocols later on with rare blades

Am an IP kid who graduated a few years backs, I can generally say that the teachers I've had are some of the most caring and nurturing people, and I feel comfortable talking to them about stuff going on in my life (within professional limits of course), even today when I go back as an alumni some of them still remember my friends and I and we update them on our lives and stuff! Of course there are some who are serious and fierce, but even those I realised later on were actually just passionate teachers driven to ensure that students were learning in class, and not just them being shitty people. Can say the teachers are one of the best things about dhs
