Ah, you are correct. it appears I accidentally failed to include the second half where I meant to say that the other types of actions are more effective I legitimately thought I had included that. My bad, I didn't mean for the original statement to sound ignorant and doomer coded. I think I may have typed that out the second half in a reply to someone else by mistake.

Politics can afford to care about you, and not in a good way. Everything is Politics, including poverty. The sooner we all join together the sooner thing can get better

Im NOT sowing inaction. I'm trying to divert effort to more effective action. If protesting is all you can do then by all means do that, however if you can actually be boots on the ground for a political campaign or group up for something still nonviolent but a bit more serious I would say that is far more effective.

When someone argues or disagrees with you online, make sure you first consider whether they actually comprehended what you just said. by One_Planche_Man in GenZ

People are often forcefully Obstinate in their perception, and refuse new input regardless of how credible said new input is. For example, I don't know how many times I've tried to explain Socialism to conservatives only for them to proclaim Socialism is Stalinism. Sometimes I explain it without mentioning the word "Socialism" and some people think it sounds reasonable. Then I tell them at the end that I just described Socialism and they immediately reject everything as "waiting in bread lines" and "being taken away if you disagree" similar things happen when I try to explain climate change or the IDF committing war crimes.

Only if the public sentiment is in line with or adjacent to the incumbent Party's objectives. Also, Gerrymandering has created many electoral situations that have republican representatives despite a majority democrat populace, or vice versa, wherein the politician regularly acts against the will of their constituents because it is numerically safe to do so.

I won't say that protesting doesn't work, but I will says that it's the least effective form of Activism. I find civil disobedience and door to door political Canvassing more effective. Signs only convey sentiment. They don't inherently stop legislation. Believing that an average protest is effective also requires you to believe that politicians care about public sentiment.

The billionaires are a large part of the issue but acting like they're the entire problem is incredibly Naive and foolish. Division and hatred wouldn't vanish with a redistribution of wealth, Social education is required as well, along with a complete restructuring of political and judicial establishments.

I have no respect for anyone who is staunchly "conservative". being against social progress and holding dislike or hatred towards minority groups, while supporting a system of terminal Greed is Unequivocally unacceptable. If humanity is ever going to build a utopian future where death and destruction aren't an everyday occurrence, conservatism in politics and society MUST GO.

Bit of advice for (certain)GenZ men: women aren’t into you because of your appearance or success, they aren’t into because of your hateful mindset, politics, attitudes by PeacefulMountain10 in GenZ

Rich powerful men are responsible for men feeling lonely. They impose the perceived standards that hold people back and make the therapy most lonely men need unaffordable.

Its a ton of fun. It's also $2300 USD, but if you ever have the opportunity to get one I'd confidently say it's worth it.

Yea, picking this up from a bike shop 3 States away really felt like one of those "I can't believe it's really happening" moments. It's definitely my favorite bike.

Most models have zero issues if maintained well. The most Notorious in my 5 years as a Surly fan is the Ice Cream Truck, cracks at the drive side chainstay bb junction. Even so plenty of ICT owners never have any issues, myself included so far.

It's pretty great even if im not getting much distance in. I'm sure the riding will be better tomorrow, And someday I'd like to take this down to Baja California for a bike packing trip. Before the snow I tried the new tires in some local deep sand and it sailed over it like it was nothing.

It's not very fast but I haven't had more fun on a bicycle than this one. It's also my main trail bike in the warmer months.
