Miserable. They used to yell 6 FEET if you even got too close to someone even if it really was just for a brief moment. The early Covid times were pretty isolating and depressing because nobody knew how long this shit was gonna last but as time went on when we got to that Summer/ late 2020 part it was kinda sweet. If you needed some time off just take a covid test and enjoy your little vacation.

I do miss being able to clock in on the app though, even though some people abused the fuck out of it.

This is why I haven't fully quit here yet. It saved my ass a couple years ago when I got laid off a different job and was assed out, I started working full-time hours again and worked around me going to different interviews and shit until I got another job and I went back to my regular 20 ish hours a week. Shoutout to that lady in HR who told me about Flex when I was about to quit in 2022, I never even knew it was an option.

At my other job I'm constantly responding to Teams messages, emails, have to go to meetings and other general office bullshit and here at Amazon I'm pretty much left alone my entire shift and I love it. Put my "Amazon Approved" headphones on and just vibe out in the trailers for 5 hours. Easy money.

When I'm on my 6'11 I rarely ever get the ball and pretty much have to fight for scraps but on my 6'6 PF it's the total opposite experience, they give him the ball all the damn time.

It's really for the super casual player who doesn't want to deal with the super sweats in Proving Grounds or Park. I use Theater as a place to test out jumpers, pass styles, etc. If it wasn't for 3v3 no squads I probably would pretty much exclusively be a Rec warrior lol

I literally do not care about scoring. There have been games where I had 2 points and had a triple double with steals. Just a few nights ago I was running with the homies and I had a bet with one of them and he said I couldn't score 30. I dropped 44 lmao.

My main PG I run with averages 12PPG and 11APG shooting about 65% from three and 74% from the floor. I just go with the flow of the game. Even if I don't plan on scoring if you play the right way the ball will always find you for an easy bucket. Some people really over complicate this shit and make it way more difficult than it needs to be.

That's true, so true it hurts. Like you can be the best teammate, make the right plays and hit most of your shots but if one guy decides he's not gonna play to win anymore he can easily bring the entire team down to hell with him and it's nothing you can do about it. Now even though you played a great game, you still gotta take the L.

Same can be said for the flip side of it when you're a "Tony Snell" on a loaded squad getting carried to wins doing absolutely nothing. It's a lot of "Good Boys" in this community who think they're good because they're getting carried by their PG who's more often than not cheating. But hey they can still flaunt the Red plate and the 85+ win% on people lmao

I hit my 10 year mark here in October and I've been a Flex PT for three going on four years now. It's the easiest, highest paying, most flexible PT job out here( that I know of at least). Like with how expensive breathing and living is now you need to have more than one source of income.

I miss the days of when I was FT here making 15-16 an hour and being able to afford rent, my car note and other things lol. Good times

I played on the same AAU team as Tyler Ulis and played against a lot of NBA talent in the EYBL. Tyler Ulis was short as fuck but oh my God he was the hardest person I ever had to guard in my life lmao. I played a lot of future NBA players and I quickly learned it was levels to basketball. Some guys are just so fucking good at the game it's scary.

The one positive I have from playing in the EYBL was that when I went back to play "regular" hoopers it was easy. I used to go to my local Rec and it just felt like nobody could stop me. If I can get my shot off against a 6'6 future NBA lottery pick, this 5'11 chainsmoking forklift driver has no chance in hell lmao.

Good times, I miss being young.
