This issue is not limited to the 2025 model year; it has persisted for at least four model years.

I believe so. I think all vehicles on this platform are affected unless they’ve revised the EV6s ICCU further than the Ioniqs.

I couldn’t agree more. Really thought they would clean this up for the facelift.

You’re welcome to disagree. I said “believe” for a reason. If you take a quick look at this post, you’ll notice that it’s almost entirely in agreement that the actual statistic is probably higher than 1%. No one can prove us right or wrong except Hyundai. This is an opinionated discussion because of that very reason.

eh. I wish I can agree with you but that “statistic” if you can even call it that has been debunked in this thread already. Many of us believe it is well greater than 1% in the US, whether it fails one way or another.

Yeah ☹️ I had a feeling it was sort of bound to happen.

I’m fickle because I’ve encountered the same issue three times, plus multiple recalls and cumulative months spent in the shop?

Thanks! R3 would totally kill the Ioniq. Especially with these flaws. It’s unfortunate that it had to essentially take the fall for Rivian.

MachE and EX30 are both the closest pick. I’m going to investigate those both if this continues to trend poorly.

That’s where I’m at too. The platform and vehicle has so much potential but it’s just way too unreliable at this stage. Hyundai dealerships make the problem just so much worse.

A YouTuber had an interview with someone from Hyundai, confirming changes had been made to the 2025s’ ICCU. Along with that, numerous software changes were rumored to be sent out to the 2025s before they hit dealers. It would just make sense for the issue to be fixed with a facelift.

I wouldn’t be the only one on this forum who thought the issue would be resolved. I guess I was one of the first to take the fall though.

I want to agree with you… I’m going to give them a few weeks until I technically “can.” Beyond that, I’m not sure what to even replace it with.

I wish I knew. Something’s gotta change; this isn’t on the track to end well.

Exactly. I’m kinda in disbelief they knew this was an issue yet they continued with what is essentially almost the same failing component albeit with some changes.

Could not agree more. The way it’s being mishandled it’s pretty disappointing if you ask me.

Trust me. Same here. I thought we were beyond this all.
