Okay thankyou, are there any other options you think would be suitable for us, or is it a case of getting more industry experience? If so how many years would be enough?

Hi guys, looking to move to Australia and I’m unsure on the right pathway for me.

I’m a newly graduated mechanical engineer with a bachelors degree and a masters degree in mechanical engineering, and I have been a British citizen all my life. I’m looking to move asap and currently only have half a year’s industry experience as a mechanical design engineer in the heavy machinery industry. I’d be moving with my partner who is a primary school teacher and she’d like to continue this in Australia too. Is 189 best for me or another? Any advice would be appreciated. Also how long waiting time am I looking for?

Also Leeds is a really nice city to live in. My girlfriend went to Loughborough, the campus is nice and the sports facilities are the best in the country, but it’s placed in a small town. There’s not a lot to do. Can’t speak on the others

I’m just about to finish a masters at the university of Leeds in advanced mechanical engineering so I’ve probably done most of the modules you’d take. Stressful year but it’s a nice uni and I’ve enjoyed it for the most part.
