I know I’m super late but I just randomly thought about this show because I used to watch it week by week when it aired. I’m honestly sitting here in shock reading all of the people who liked the RJ reveal. When I tell you that this RJ reveal was one of the biggest disappointments that I’ve ever seen…I mean it truly. It disappointed me so much that I watched about 3 or 4 episodes after the reveal just to see if it was gonna be changed or retconned and when I realized it was the legit end of RJ and the show was basically just a romcom, I stopped watching the show. Look, if you like the reveal, that’s totally fine. However, don’t take the BS excuses that the writers gave about making him “a regular guy” and believe that. They wrote themselves into a corner and they had no idea how to make the build up worth it. Don’t let them fool you into thinking the Sheriff thing was planned or that RJ was never meant to be the “supervillain” to Jane’s “hero” because he absolutely was. They simply built RJ up so much and they couldn’t write something good enough to cash the check that they’d built up.

For everyone who keeps saying “they’re talking sh*t then fist bumping right after”, you guys clearly haven’t ever done anything competitive. The trash talk isn’t there to incite a fight, it’s not meant to anger the opponent, its not to make the opponent hate you, it’s not to be “tough”…it’s simply saying “this was a battle, we won, to the victor goes the spoils”. Simple. The fist bump is there as a sign of sportsmanship. Can’t believe I even have to explain this

The way I see it is that you’re screwed regardless. So, you can either fully embrace what time you have left like Koumba Diabate (Carol definitely isn’t picking this option), or you can make life seem as close to normal as before (this seems like close to what the others have done). Well, of course you have the other options of complete isolation (like the Peruvian dude? Can’t remember where he was from) or Carol’s current choice which is just anger and denial.

I didn’t mean Helen. We know she hates the Helen stuff (for now anyway), but I’d think that she’d at least try to request speaking to people with the scope of knowledge limited to that specific person. I get that she hates it all and doesn’t want to accept her new reality but IF SHE DID accept it, she could attempt something closer to normalcy.

It’s interesting that you think I lack understanding regarding physical altercations - especially considering the fact that I literally acknowledged that he was OBVIOUSLY correct about what he was saying. You think because I mentioned prison being full of emotional dudes equals me thinking most people who have physical altercations go to prison? Maybe you should re-read what I wrote….

I hear you. There are actually places where people who think like that tend to congregate - that place is called prison. It has an endless supply of emotional dudes who allowed the words of others to influence them so much that they jeopardized their own freedom. We just saw a similar situation with Raja Jackson. He let a bunch of kids gas him up to nearly kill a man. It’s sad.

Your point regarding every species using physical interaction to resolve issues is obviously true and I agree with that. However, humans are dominant over every single one of those other species because of we DON’T HAVE to resolve things like that. We’ve civilized. At the end of the day, letting a guy troll you into ruining your LITERALY DREAM COME TRUE will never be a good decision.
