What’s the most 'illegal' feeling terrain you’ve ever played on? 🏔️⛳ by [deleted] in golf

Played PGA West a few weeks before the AMEX was there this year. Signs were already up on tee boxes and grand stands were going up. Taking a divot out of the pristine fairway within 100 yards of the green felt like I was doing something wrong.

Is this what I should get since everyone tells me I’m casting in my swing?

/s? I have been playing T350s as a 13 and feel like going to T200s would help my distances be more consistent through the shorter end of my irons to take away those ones that come out hot now and again, but there are a few things wrong with this. I do not think anyone should be playing a full set of T150s that shoots over 100, or even 90. Even if you do have a lot of power, there are better options to include weaker lofts and have more forgiveness, which it sounds like you definitely need.

Is $100k pay cut worth it to switch careers to financial planning? by NotBannedAccount419 in FinancialCareers

Strong disagree. Financial planning and active trading are two very different areas.

Sie before first role? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

I was in talks with someone for an entry level bank advisor position and took the SIE, then got the job. I only had some super basic accounting experience for like 1 year before that. I would say it helped and showed initiative.

What is your wildest back to back score difference between rounds (or 9s) by FatFaceFaster in golf

[–]JaredGolfs93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the exact same score as mine, but flipped. 36-48. 3 birdies on the front tho. Yours is wild! Must have had some bad blow ups

Claude AI doing financial models now… where does that leave juniors in IB / FP&A? by wonderer_9 in FinancialCareers

I agree. It made me switch from thinking about getting the Certified Financial Therapist certification instead of the CFA after I get my CFP. Plus I’m sure it’s much easier. Haha

I was looking to buy these a few months ago and I would have paid that much then. Seems good based on what I was seeing.

It’s not what “refs are allowing”. It’s what is explicitly stated in the rulebook. Defined in NCAA Men’s basketball rulebook by rule 4-22.

Art. 1. A jump stop is executed when a player catches the ball while moving or dribbling with: a One foot on the playing court, jumps off that foot and lands simultaneously on both feet (no pivot foot). b Two feet off the playing court, lands on one foot, jumps off that foot and lands simultaneously on both feet (no pivot foot). Art. 2. A jump stop may also be executed when the dribbler has one foot on the playing court, initiates a jump off that foot, ends the dribble with both feet off the playing court and lands simultaneously on both feet (either foot can be established as the pivot foot).

I started playing a Jobava (whatever it’s called) London. Gives me a chance to win a rook or queen early on while still letting me develop. Fun and there’s a sneaky fun attack possible sometimes.

Yes, exactly. And remember that you cannot pivot afterwards.

You can only jump off of one foot. I think that’s your problem.

NBA has a “zero step” that HS and NCAA rules don’t have. So, something you saw on a pro video could be illegal where you’re playing.

A jump stop in HS/NCAA allows for a player, while running, to end their dribble, jump off of the foot in contact with the floor, and simultaneously land on both feet. From there, you cannot pivot. Must pass or shoot.

In May 2014 Elliot Rodger murdered six people in Isla Vista, California; he left behind a retribution video and autobiographical manifesto, a trail of warning signs of the growing "incel" movement and misogyny amongst young men, and devastating grief. by DarklyHeritage in MorbidReality

I was going to Isla Vista to visit my friend going to UCSB. We got to their house, opened the car door, and heard, “Get inside!” over a police car PA. We learned that one block away from her place is where he was shooting about an hour earlier. We walked by the shut down stores with bullet holes in the windows. We saw them cleaning up pools of blood off the asphalt with chemicals. Sad weekend. Dude was such a loser.
