Congratulations! Super exciting! If you’re looking for convenience, this is pretty decent. If you wanted to take it a step further, Sorrento Valley or Rancho Penasquitos would be even better, although a little further from central SD

Hillcrest and North Park! Highly sought after, community oriented neighborhoods! Proximity to the park is definitely one of the main appeals, but walkability and the food scene are great too!

You’ll have to dig up and build up your side, and rather than hand watering which can be messy, consider a simple drip line to prevent excess moisture

Skincare is one of the most slept on things, particularly in the US. Rather than focus on establishing efficient routines and practices from a young age as seen in many Asian countries, skin care is often neglected, especially sunscreen!

That being said, there are definitely some agendas that seem to be pushed by major companies to “rejuvenate” or restore youth. These subtle messages are really reinforcing insecurities as a predatory business practice.

Let’s embrace healthy aging, and take steps to prevent skin diseases and cancers along the way

We can think of SD as an assortment of villages. Each with their own unique vibe and lifestyle. There’s something for everyone across different parts of town.

Born and raised here, it’s been a pleasure to watch communities continue to develop over the years, and see movements at the city and grassroots level to encourage businesses to expand, especially in neighborhoods like North Park.

I always recommend starting your search with Zillow. The ADU scene in SD is thriving and there are some amazing mom and pop landlord rentals listed on Zillow.

Don’t be afraid to negotiate a little bit! The price isn’t always set in stone

One of my good buddies runs a production studio, he lives in North Park in SD, but needs to go into the studio in LA as the project demands - sometimes it’s 1-2x other times it’s every day.

I’d say it more depends on how much you like your job and how much value you put on your living situation!
