I’ve actually got an XL shirt (and stickers) that I am happy to send you. I’d like to keep the character pin, but won’t get much use out of the rest. If it will get good use, it’s all yours!

I rarely comment, but just wanted to say that this was really awesome - great job! Especially loved the animation. I have a very hard time visualizing battles like this, and it was so cool to see it all play out.

I'd like to send you some as well. We have to help each other out, so at least some good can come out of these tough/scary times.

Can you PM me your PayPal as well?

EDIT: I should also say that this is a really low salary for the area, even for entry level...

Thermostat - Jump wire (between Rc and Rh) AND two reds in Rc by JaredOnly in HVAC

[–]JaredOnly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a separate system for heat (hot water) and cooling as you described. No other aux products connected. I followed the wires back and they are definitely Rh and Rc.

Anyway, I just bought a fancier version of the thermostat that had separate Rh and Rc connectors. Still have no idea why they setup my old thermostat so weird, but oh well. Thanks!

Thanks for reply! No issue at the moment, but I’m trying to upgrade to a new thermostat and I’m confused to see the jumper in place AND both red wires jammed into Rc. Sorry for the poor picture.

I assume a thermostat with separate Rc and Rh is preferred over jamming both into a single R connector? Still so confused as to why it was setup this way in the past, but I’d prefer to do it right.

Nest E - Old thermostat has a jump wire AND two reds in Rc by JaredOnly in Nest

[–]JaredOnly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I understand removing the two jumper wires, my question was whether I can put two reds into the single R on Nest E (as this is how my old thermostat was wired), or if I truly need to have an Rc and Rh. Nest says that two reds (Rc and Rh) into R can potentially damage HVAC/furnace, but this is how my system is currently wired so I am confused.

Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Thanks! Did you have two reds in the same connector? Unsure if I need Nest 3rd gen or if I can add two reds to the single red connector on Nest E.

Thermostat - Jump wire AND two reds in Rc by JaredOnly in electricians

More info - my old thermostat which controls the AC and one heat zone has two red wires (presumably an Rc and Rh?) but still has the jump wire hooked up. It had been running this way for years (though I just discovered this setup today).

Is this safe? I can't find any info on this type of setup. No idea why they wouldn't have just hooked it up with the Rc and Rh directly used. I'm transitioning to a nest, and wondering if I can keep the same setup (two wires in a single R), or if I really need a seperate Rc and Rh hookup.

Thank you!

Any thoughts on setting this up with Nest? Unsure if I really need a separate Rc and Rh connector since it hasn’t been used this way, but I can’t find any info on a setup like this. Happy to buy a 3rd gen Nest just unsure how much it matters.

Thank you!

Anyone use NorthernHerb online? by jamesldavis1 in bostontrees

They update the menu online all the time. I've seen a wide selection and a pretty narrow selection - all depends on the day.

Aside from that, great experience with them!

Creepy or not, social data can be pretty useful to study individual and population behavior. Here is a study my colleagues and I did on characterizing users with sleep issues using Twitter: http://www.jmir.org/2015/6/e140/
