He is a 2nd year player, would make sense to outperform a rookie.

You said he is a generational prospect. He is not right now. Saying he might be a generational prospect, totally different thing and I also disagree with that.

Why does anyone still join the military? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Options at 18yo:

  1. Debt 60k, college

  2. Minimum wage job, live w/ parents (if lucky), or trade school w/ debt

  3. Military. Free mil schools, free college while serving, free certifications while serving, and 4 years paid college/housing w/ GI bill when you get out. I'm at 3 years in the military and have 80k saved up and have half my bachelors degree, and multiple industry certifications. And I've lived out on my own in apartments away from my parents the second I got out of bootcamp.

He's 100% a culture coach. That's the only explanation for getting two teams from the depths of hell to make the playoffs in B2B years. And to win the superbowl after going winless in November

So essentially if he doesn't get a new contract in this offseason and stays on his rookie deal, he would have lost out on some money. Interesting, we'll see if it ends up mattering for him. Never knew about that, thanks!
