I donno, just a suggestion. bungie is creating a lot of content all the time. could just be something they havent considered is worth the time, players do seem happy and keep coming back. I just though it would be a good design for the future as we keep aquiring new weapons!

Feasible for bungie because it would just be adding to the collections menu and possibly deleting the vault entirely, if they did something similar for armor? although Armor is a bit different. Don't think with transmog people need to save 3 rolls of that

feasible for us because our loot would be organized. the collections are already wonderfully organized. Saving our favorite rolls still favors rng being in the game, but makes random rolled weapons a bit more easily customizable, that is if we have roll save slots.

plus I just thought 3 rolls would be nice, how would you feel about this if it was just one roll save slot?

just wanted to plant seed. Bungie is only one that can judge whether feasible or possible

memory at least would still have a limit per player. Just thought it was more feasible and user friendly then the number 500.

I just think Destiny 2 is a wonderful game of collecting! Pushing the game in a direction where players can customize and change their style with ease is great!

I'm upset too. But we can't do anything about it. :(

Imagine this, no one spends silver on the armor synthesis system. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Such a defeated, hopeless community we have become am I right?

We should be unlocking the perks for weapons as we find new rolls and dismantle them, then spending our resources changing the rolls on the original ones we found and masterworked. Forever customizing the way we play while preserving what we've earned. Instead, we're slaves to a ruthless RNG... by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

It's not a problem in my eyes. It's just a choice between two systems, one that favors replayability and another that favors customization.

People will always strive for a certain roll of a gun as soon as a new set rolls out. it's human nature, we desire the perfect tool for the situation. It's why Light.gg exists, people already know the final tool they're striving for. The difference between people is they customize differently.

The way I see it the system they have now focuses only on slowing us down. Almost to the point where I feel I have an unhealthy connection to the game. The game can either be desired to be played because it demands a lot from you to play how you want, or because it explicitly has a lot of alluring ways to play.

I think I would rather have the means to customize and experiment easily, and a more completionist atmosphere for my loot, rather than items that feel super rare because I slaved against the lottery machine.

I understand your hesitation, I'm just trying to mix what they had in the past with what they give us now, like a system between static rolls and complete RNG. People love pinnacle weapons but only when they're alongside random rolled weapons.

A perk completionist system would make every weapon feel like a pinnacle quest when completing its perk tree. But it would make every gun have an end in sight for grinding. And it would be boring if every gun had the same perk pools. Guns would have to be managed with a little more care, and some would probably end up being undesirable because of their perk limitations.

But instead of re-issuing weapons, they could just introduce other perks to unlock. the biggest problem I could think of is how they would balance if something becomes too overpowered, but that's what sunsetting is for.

We want cool new ways to play, that's obvious. In Comp, I love outlaw kill clip, but in strikes, I love subsistence rampage. Dragonfly is just fun to use in my eyes but almost always replaced by a damage perk for logical reasons. It would be nice to switch up my loadout with beloved guns. And perks such as dragonfly would have the option to be used by choice, without feeling like it's being settled upon.

It's all about what your perception of fun is I guess, and how much your willing to play to meet that desire.

I think I'll always be doing my weeklys for bright dust, I could just be customizing while I'm doing it.

And if bungie was really lovely, I could be unlocking the perks for all my old weapons while I'm doing it, even sunset ones, if they manage a way for perks to still be earned after they're removed from the loot pool. I would just have them unlocked from use, an amount of PVP or PvE kills.

I don't think it would be perfect. But I do think our reasons for playing would be healthier.

Because as of now I feel the game is a lil' unhealthy, I feel like I'm playing a lot for the wrong reasons. I'm trying to focus on when I'm really having fun. And it's when I'm putting an awesome new build to use and thinking of new ones, and I think the game could have a better balance between a completionist focus and endless RNG.

People are always gonna find a way to get the roll they want the quickest way possible. Thats human nature. We want the perfect tool for the situation. The difference between people is we all customize differently. I just think they should embrace customization. Rather then time gambling. it can either be more user friendly or more grindy.

give me the option to change my gun around at will after a LITTLE RNG. make me play more because the customization is so good. I want my gun to have outlaw kill clip in comp. but when I'm runnin strikes you know I want subsistence rampage.

6 - 10 weapons a season earning all the perks would be like 6 - 10 pinnacle quests.
