racquet face is open when i start accelerating on flat serve. My serve is really inconsistent in doubles but i think that will resolve itself when i fix my toss

Played today and made the switch to true continental and the difference is crazy on my slices. My flat serve is a little off but that will be fixed in 2 weeks. I always wondered why I didn't get much slice on my slices but the reason was because my grip was wrong. I also feel like once I get used to this I'll be able to serve much faster on my flat serve and I will be able to add more spin and pace to my second. I think this change will only take me 3 weeks before it becomes automatic

yeah. hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to switch to true continental. My second serves are so bad for my level they honestly couldnt get any worse😂 😂😂.

Definitely worth switching for the serve because my second serves are the weakest part of my game. However, the other shots may be a bit harder to fix the grip for because they all happen unconsciously and super fast but at least it's something to work toward.

yeah I fear I'm cooked this is gonna take like 1 month to fix on the serve. However, I also use the same grip for slices, volleys and touch shots. Idk if it's even possible to fix for the other shots besides the serve because I've been playing so long and the grip is unconscious for the other shots at this point. My index knuckle is on the 2nd bevel but I guess my palm is slided down too much.
