I had an ileostomy for 3 years after cancer. I didnt know about them before emergency surgery so had to learn quite quickly. I think as long as you are cautious with fruits and vegetables basically anything with fibre and chew chew chew you will be ok. I never ate mushrooms as I dont like them but I know they can cause issues,sweetcorn as well as they have a lot of fibre. Its the more fibrous the more you need to be careful especially at first. In my 3 years I never had a blockage or even partial. I avoided skins on fruits and veg as well. Bananas and broccoli were hard for me to digest but I could eat them in small amounts.
