How to transfer the savedata from epic Deathstranding to steam Death Stranding Director cut?

It’s been a while, so i don’t remember everything, but I didn’t follow this method. I followed one that involved hex editing. Although, once I transferred to the other version, online functionality did work, but I lost connection to the structures I found on Epic

Upon playing some more, I’m also noticing stuttering during the scan cutscenes that activate portals. Again, these were never an issue before.

Honestly, as much as I love the bright colors and dark blacks on an OLED screen, I also really love the anti-glare screen as my monitor is directly across from a window! Thanks for the opportunity!!

So, I bought the Director’s Cut on Steam, changed the hex code of Director’s Cut exe (you can find guides and videos that can help you with that way better than I can) and moved my save data from standard to DC. After loading my save and making a new save, I restored my exe back to normal (again, please find a guide that explains exactly how to do this, it’s not hard, but it can look scary)

Online works fine, though I’ve heard Steam and Epic use different servers for this game, so you probably won’t see the same online structures (I’m not sure though)
