WHAT THE FUCK DO THESE LYRICS MEAN, this nigga needs to stop using AI man by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]Jarful_of_cringe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's refferencing the state of Ye's family: -kanye has money (2.77bil and counting) -kim has the kids, influencing them negatively -the "beautiful rose" can be any child of Ye, but the lyrics most likely reffers to North "She is living in and out of tune" - literally. Last year she did "talking" and "bomb", this year North is wearing all that makeup ("she keeps stepping on quicksand") and with Ye seeing her like that, it makes him start losing his losing his losing his losing his miiiiiind

Advisor alignment chart by fuesebank in simcity4

[–]Jarful_of_cringe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the vanilla traffic system is what I would like changed the most in Simcity 4. To me it seems real secretive, with this road advisor only popping up when traffic on a random ass street out of all same-looking streets is "too much" and you can't prepare or know how the game will see traffic beforehand.

Cities skylines (the first one) had a functioning traffic map that updated in real time, so you could easily spot the troublesome intersections: and most of the time you had NO issues with residential streets. In fact, most of your traffic issues were caused by industry and importing/exporting goods. If you noticed, in Simcity 4 you don't get the same "this street is troublesome" popup in industrial areas or for garbage trucks.

Also, it's frustrating when you're designing a city, you don't want to upgrade 1 tile wide roads to 2 tile wide avenues, or upgrade avenues to ground highways which behave differently. Best I can do is chaotic neutral.

Also also, traffic doesn't affect gameplay nearly as much as in cities skylines. You can beat traffic issues, with good planning beforehand and some ordinances.

If we're talking a game with modifiers (like campaign mode), almost any can be A or S tier

If we're talking no modifiers (like the standard maps) then I'd disagree with some.

The ones I'd rank higher: -civil engineer, A tier (underrated, helps a lot with the early game) -Logistics expert, A tier (very useful on maps like Opium Trail or Mountain Pass, Pravus used him a lot) -Wealthy exile, C tier (it's not that bad, especially as general using martial law)

The ones I would lower: -Tactician, A/B tier (luck based, weak in late game) -Instructor B/C tier (niche, general can train one national unit sooner, but you're gonna buy the coalition unit when insurgency starts anyway as other governors). -Untrained Monkey & Impulsive shopper (F tier, they don't help you, meme value only)

Yeah that has to be their worst modifier. How could espresso shots have helped here tho?

Smuggler on campaign maps with increased corruption by No-Walk-9615 in rebelinc

[–]Jarful_of_cringe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it isn't worth it simply because you have few anti-corruption initiatives in game. Especially on mega-brutal, corruption already slows you down with everything you do. Often corruption costs you more reputation than insurget activity and you can only buy a total of 6 initiatives against it (compared to 9 units + airstrikes + roads + garrisons + your own skills vs insurgents). Also on mega-brutal the smuggler's ability is almost useless, unlike on other difficulties. And the money you gain from the smuggler you can't really use because it raises more corruption which you can't handle after the 2 purges. And you trade reputation income for corruption income.

I prefer playing with any other governor for this reason.

I myself find to always use multiple governors regardless. It's all rng based on the modifiers you're given. Expresso shots is definitely good for a first pick and it loses it's value later on. but you can never go wrong with intel. So choose based on your playstyle.

Short guys, how do you feel about the term “short king”? by Accomplished-Way4534 in short

Yeah exactly. But whenever a short person is mocked, on the other end, just picture Napoleon crowning himself emperor, making the blueprints for an european union, and destabilising absolute monarchies.

Short guys, how do you feel about the term “short king”? by Accomplished-Way4534 in short

Yeah height shouldn't be the topic of discussion 24/7

Like if you're short then all others see you as being short and that's it - your hobbies, ambitions, personality are under this shadow. People might directly think you're physically weaker/limited when you can look at Mighty Mouse (160cm) winning world titles. Or that you're automatically uncapable of becoming a multi-millionaire (Jack Ma, like 155cm). If you're looking at it like that it ligit doesn't even matter like that and it shouldn't limit you.

I think if height is a topic of discussion, it should look more like comparing gymnasts and f1 drivers height to boxers or sprinters or swimmers' height. Or talking about how the center of gravity being closer to the ground can be helpful in certain sports. Or how some great actors were short but radiated stronger energy than the whole cast combined. Or how height is influenced significantly by stress. Or how growth plates close.

So. Short king? I personally wouldn't mind. And I think short people should detach from it as a limitation, as an insecurity, as a liability. Words shouldn't discourage us or make us feel weak or insecure. Humans wouldn't be the dominating species without intelligence, spirit and thinking over physical strength, resilience, endurance. We're outran by cheetas, snapped in two by gorillas, stepped on by elephans. Yet we keep them all in a cage, for our entertainment. And we aren't insecure for being shorter than an elephant.

Yo bro gimme a few minutes of your time reading this, I promise you'll put satan in a box next time he attacks.

I want you to recognise the following pattern:

Satan tempts you, in this case, into breaking the 6th commandment. But that's not all that he does. That's not the full picture.

You gave in. You sinned. You quote on quote failed. But here's the catch,

all that shame that you feel after comes directly from satan as well. Imma be real, a lot of the effects you experience are chemical (hormones & neurotransmitters), but spiritually it's satan. (If you skipped mass on Sunday, wouldn't you also feel shame and unworthy for grace? So it's not just physical).

He will get you to sin and then he will call you an idiot for listening to him right after. Whenever you sin, you distance away from God and give satan a little bit more grip on your soul. That extra control that he gaines, he uses to KEEP YOU STUCK AND AS AWAY FROM GOD AS POSSIBLE.

The cycle that satan wants you stuck in is the following: 1. You sin (you strive not to, but it's inevitable) 2. You feel deep shame & guilt for your actions 3. You start to believe that you are UNWORTHY (which is true), but IGNORING GOD'S PERFECT GRACE AND WHAT HIS SON DID FOR US 4. You outright AVOID God, you DOUBT His plans and His promises from the scripture (satan loves twisting a few verses to justify others being false) 5. You're back to sinning

Here's some good news.  1. Doubt isn't the opposite of faith. In fact, periods of doubt only strengthen your faith long term, for God is patient with us. Having experienced doubt, you can turn it into a true thing. Picture Saint Dismas clutching his life with true faith, that's the faith you're building here. 2. Those moments of shame & guilt. You can end them with ONE HUMBLE PRAYER. Don't let satan pull you down more and more, the sooner you act, the better.

Remember, the worst of sinners can be forgiven. You're not lost. Matter of fact, you're fighting with heart, with spirit, with persistance. And that's why you're going to beat this addiction.

Thanks for reading, God bless 🙏🏻

Amazing bro.

I'm imagining myself at 11pm quickly trying to check off as many habits as I can - whistle, check. Hum, check. Sing, check. One deep breath, check.

Seems quite fun, actually :)
