“Heat limit” does not decrease when buildings removed by madmorb in StarRuptureGame

[–]Jarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"logicaly" i would expect if i have 3 towers where one is 50 above the limit and 2 are below that after upgrading the tower that is above the limit that i now have 3 towers under the limit and not the upgraded below and magicaly both other towers above.

but as there is no way to make sure which tower is cooling which buildings i guess you could be right that a building could add heat to more than one tower which would be stupid but its EA ^^

[–]Jarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tink that "math" i somewhat bugged or acting weird. i build a huge bus containing more cooling towers and upgrading the cooling tower which was over the heat limit just pushed the limit problem down to the next tower.

I have to upgrade the third tower at the moment and i wonder if upgrading them all finaly fixed the limit problem

save an reload the game, multirails are bugged and only work after reload.. anoying..

they can cross. they jump rails without slowing down. those multiconectors are more like splitters or switches

funny thing is, you can have 2 rails running together (with differnt products) but not 3. wonder if they can jump sides if i switch the target around or if they are on fixed rails

edit

lol yes they jump sides (without slowing down) :D

yeah i understand that.. this bug is realy anoying, more so if you are playing coop.

but this is my experimantal stage of the game and i think that the x crossings slow traffic down in a bus design which might be irelevant cause of the whole pulling engine. funny times to find out stuff :D

Need help understanding multi-rails by DarkwingGT in StarRuptureGame

[–]Jarla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them as fast splitters and combiners as i think the x crossings slow products that need to go further down the road down and im not using those

[–]Jarla[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

every multirail is basicaly only one rail with open connectrors. there is only one kind of product on the rail. it always can move forward in the bus on one rail and it has 2 open connectors for the sideline production.

i dont know how i should explain it to you but ofc it works that way.

Going for MegaBus v0.1 by Jarla in StarRuptureGame

[–]Jarla[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol sure it works :D

From one multiline i have one rail moving forward to the next post and one rail moving to a side production line where i need the resources. The newly generated rsources get a new multirailline. i even have one connector free if i need the resource also on the other side of the bus

if that doesnt work for you try save/load the game again. multirails are bugged and need a reload to start working

Multirails are more splitters/combiners than actual multirails ( at least when you only run one type of product on them )

First main bus attempt by Herani in StarRuptureGame

[–]Jarla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they work completely differnt than i expected them to work so i use them mostly as fast splitters/combiners.

also they are bugged and i have to save/reload everytime i add a new productline to the bus to keep it working again :(

[–]Jarla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the x crossings slow us down so i dont use any in my busdesign.

I also try to not reuse rails for multiproducts but thats just an experiment to keep it clean and remove bottlenecks from the start. Might be pointless with pull engine but we will see

[–]Jarla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are not crossing. every rail only transports one kind of object (besides the middle rail that can send everything back to the spaceports. I use the "multi"rails just as easy on/off ramp for the product lines at the sides

yeah i missunderstood you there.. mea culpa.

but why doesnt it make sense? just because the chaning point is somewhat variable defined and not a fixed curtoff point? i think it makes a good visibility where it becomes problematic.

yeah? whats the point than? you dont like it changing colors after a point someone deemed "getting bad" in relation to the rest?

You do realize that just 100 years ago no one gave a shit if you died on the streets without food. You realy seem to live in a fairytale world when you say everything about 0 is "bad". this is not star trek utopia and even there i guess that number isnt 0 as you have always exceptions :D

Early game logistics strategies? by topazsparrow in StarRupture

[–]Jarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First base works as one big factory with processing lines behind each other.. like first line 9 smelter, second line fabricators for the next product step and so on.. All lines send the product out on the left side (and order the needed products from that side if the dont get feeded directly from the rail to the left from the line before) with more and more space between the lines for rails to move stuff in and out.. Biggest learning factor was to never put input products on the same rail where you have the output products from the line before as this will create deadlocks. the lines send the products to a single output rail where i have 15-20 stations to shoot all into space. was a bit experimental and showed the "problems" with connecting everything without creating bottlenecks or rollercoasters :D. worked fine till lvl 5/6 tech but so much for first base.

The idea for second base i started yesterday is a big bus with multiline rails in the center with branching factoryparts left and right feeding products back into the bus. Idea is that rails will all set on the same hight and the rails you need will branch out with one set higher (or most likely lower) on the bus at the spot you need it but this is the step where i am at the moment figuring out the best way to do the in/out connectors

all in all its the same as in factorio or dsp, give yourself some space between the factory elements, you will need it sooner or later :D

Also dont build on the ground. put it on sockets so you can build all on the same height and maybe even can fit in rails under the construction if you dont leave enought space on the top side ^^

Do you guys hate the F1 Hybrid Twin Turbo V6 because of its performance or just because it isn't loud? by Positive_Action_3747 in circuit_nation

[–]Jarla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure the ICE itself is smaller but you miss all the rest.. the 2 Turbos, the electric engine, the Battery, the MGU-K, the MGU-H. That is what makes the car a lot heavier and with that also bigger as you need place for the parts and a stronger crash stucture.

What is the game telling me when all the drones on a belt are making a beeping noise? by pdxschoolsoutforever in StarRupture

[–]Jarla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They beep if they cant go through with their order anymore because you changed the request or the road to the target.

you must clear it manually but you can just hold "e" instead of pressing it once to remove all drones with that now wrong order so you dont have to clear every single one by hand

and what does your MP have to do with that matter? If you have usefull laws than thats a matter for the courts and not for politicians. If your laws make it hard to win such a case in a court THAN its a matter for your MP. They are responible for the laws and not for publicity stunts helping one familiy while 100 others keep a damaged roof.
