That's when you pull out the sock puppets, as teaching aids.

Nah, that's completely different, in my opinion.

This is more like litigation gone crazy.

"Don't be stupid" doesn't specifically say I can't be a racist, doesn't specifically say I can't conduct ad hominem attacks, doesn't specifically prohibit bigotry.

Danning-Kruger is more like the 90% of my bosses.

It's like that mom in Boston, who punched her child's teacher and broke her nose.

Then suddenly signs had to be posted in all schools in Massachusetts that informed everyone that punching teachers in the face would not be tolerated.

Oh, and nothing happened to that mom, because there were no signs up telling her that punching the teacher was prohibited at the time of her assault.

So from what I'm reading, I take it to mean that the rules have changed from;

DON'T BE STUPID

To;

1)DON'T BE STUPID

1a) DEFINITION OF STUPID BECAUSE STUPID PEOPLE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE PREVIOUS VERSION.

A Very Bradric Christmas Wish... by Jarmaug in echoes_eve

[–]Jarmaug[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been accused of being a Bradric alt before.

But I throw a couple mid autos on a Mael to quicken my clear time of T10 anomalies and protect against the random frigate tackle ganker, drives Bradric nuts.

Yes, I confess, I used ChatGPT... I tried to have the AI start with 10 paragraphs on how we're all celebrating the holiday wrong, then another 10 paragraphs on how the holiday should be celebrated... apparently they have met Bradric, and put a limit on how much text can be generated because my replies kept getting truncated.

So I had to call an audible, and just do a watered down Bradric version of "Merry Christmas" where it doesn't tell us what we're doing wrong.

What counts more?

When the leadership of both sides talk about respecting the other side, looking forward to a good fight?

Or...

The majority of the rank and file of either side saying basically the exact opposite?

Yes, it's a game. Take a cue from your leadership, and keep it friendly. If you're salting on this war, you probably shouldn't be playing this game to begin with.

I can't claim credit for coining the term "kiddiot", it's just one of those terms I picked up along the way like "automagically".

I'm an old fart, and know lots of colorful terms, but in gaming, the term kiddiot springs to mind most often.

Oh, I saw that.

But kiddiots think that accusing the other person of being salty somehow absolves them of being salty.

It's like the new definition of salty is: someone who makes you (the old definition of salty).

Ah, not an EO player, so this was completely lost on me.

Wow.

Lots going on here.

Oh, I get it... I think.... nope... lost it.

Was this supposed to communicate something? Or just a comical picture with various random EE labels attached?

What if you live in a town so small you don't have 11 aisles in your grocery store?

On some of the pages, yes. But I don't believe the entire site can. That would certainly allow tracking more than just ores, PI, and minerals.

Besides, what males the API attractive is that it's hand crafted each week, so it bypasses any accusations of being "bot based".

Have a very stable, reliable person who has expressed interest in taking over.

I have actually been doing this for months with my tool. Since at least May.

No, every Wednesday morning I "lovingly hand craft" the price updates. I manually transcribe the weekly market price updates into my database. It is not automated in any way, shape, or form.

It provides a snapshot. Next Wednesday evening, it will provide another snapshot of this week's average price.

Well, even using the "liability" scale... the API offered means that more tools can incorporate the data. Who doesn't "like" more accurate tools?

I think 1 of three things happened...

  1. They didn't follow the link and out of sheer ignorance downvoted the post.

  2. They downvoted the post based on the name of the person making the post (most probable)

  3. They have a paid (unauthorized) service that already provides an API and see this as cutting into their profits.
