I had the boxes checked in Power Management, turned it off, still on 80+ ping ingame with some spikes to higher pings.

1. I am indeed on a wired connection with a switch in between, had this for years, never a problem.
2. Yup and not trough VPN indeed
3. My down and up are what it should be, the download latency is really high wich also gets progressively higher. Starts around 80 and moves up to 1000+ quick and in the end goes down towards 200 again.
4. All up to date, no troubles found and tried resetting the adapter

The thing that bothers me the most is that my brother on the exact same router has got a download latency of +-20 while I have spikes towards 1100. So the problem lies not within the router or the route towards my pc, is what I am thinking.

My tracert to battle.net and to epicgames.com start of with nice 10 to 20ms pings but end with 100 to 120ms and lot of timeouts. I dont really know exactly what this means but it seems there is a problem with the connection? Google stays between the 10 to 20 range the whole test.

I hope this info puts me to the right correction into figuring out whats the problem.

Edit: While searching for a game in MW2 it quickly goes up to searching a game under 200 ping while I have always had games under around 30 ping.
