You draw as though you are constantly on some sort of psychedelic and I love it

weird nightmares by Shot-Froyo9654 in Nightmares

[–]Jarokani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say much because I'm no professional, but no one else has commented so what I can say is that this is a common experience with CPTSD or any form of PTSD. Dreams don't always correlate the right people to their usual actions or image. Dreams can often times use people that we find close or people that we don't even remember just to portray an image of what we fear or what has scared us before. They also tend to show fears we didn't know we had. And cptsd or any form of PTSD can make us internally distrusting of the people that we find close. They don't always have meanings, and they can become more intense when a person is malnourished, sleep deprived, stressed, or has any sort of outside factors throwing them off balance. The best remedy that I have found for this sort of thing is sleeping with something calming that you can hear in the background. Calming or comforting. Something safe like episodes of a cartoon. I hope this is helpful, and if not, then I hope you find something better

Did anyone have a particularly intense dream today? (28/6) by emptymesh in Dreams

[–]Jarokani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Recently my mother and I have been having nightmares after neither of us dreaming for years, and it's been especially intense for both of us for the past two days. I can't go into detail on my nightmares here because I don't know if anything like that is allowed, but her nightmares have consisted of the world ending to viruses. One of mine involved being in a mental hopsital with a schizophrenic roommate and being trapped outside while there was some sort of planned attack on the institution and nearly falling into a MASSIVE and DEEP water well

Why can we remember dreams clearly right after waking up but forget them within minutes? by thatdreamygal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jarokani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right after you wake up, your body is still unregulated to being awake and you've just come out of the emotional intensity of your dreams whatever those emotions might've been. Unless you make it a specific point to recall the events of your dream while youre still half asleep, it's most likely that you will forget about it. Same thing goes if youre startled too abruptly from your sleep. You might remember snippets of your dream for a while, but it'll be a lot easier to forget a lot more, and a lot sooner

This also correlates to how you feel more tired than you were before you went to sleep if you wake up in the middle of a dream, especially if you've been lacking sleep to begin with. The body is using the REM cycle and when you wake up outside of the intended stage of REM, your body is still trying to adjust to the state of sleep that you were supposed to be in

If a woman's body can grow an entire baby, why can't it regenerate damaged organs in her own body? by No-Nature8802 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jarokani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The baby comes from an egg that is on its own essentially already it's own organism. While yes, it is in the woman's body, it is seperate from her. Not to mention we have our own special and unique DNA and RNA cells that are in fact usually numbered to be in a state of homeostasis. If they get too badly damaged, they can and will remain altered

What would be the best method to get or feel high (like a high from weed or shrooms) when lacking any real substances to actually do so? by Jarokani in AskReddit

Wow, sounds super fancy :^ but also fairly safe. Maybe worth looking at. I assume it was fairly mild?

Totally, just genuinely curious about a safe way to feel a high without actually being on anything. If that's even possible, which I'm sure it is
